One of the most haunting scores ever composed for a film. It stays with you long after you listen to it. No wonder Shore has been a frequent composer for David Cronenberg's movies as well!
This soundtrack is just perfect for this movie. Chilling, intimidating, dark and incredibly beautiful. Perfectly represents the human mind, which is silent, mysterious, we don't know what's going on there and it can be unpredictable. As if intelligence and unimaginable evil were the most devastating combination ever.
One of the most compelling and haunting movie endings I've ever seen - Lector casually walking away from the camera until he's lost in the crowd, the light fading as dusk falls, or as a storm builds up - either way it's an unforgettable image and the music - brooding, menacing - is perfect!
@@jimmythegrunt7371 I have no plans to call on you, Clarice. The world is more interesting with you in it. Now you take care in extending me the same courtesy.
This end makes me missing Jonathan Demme sooooo much.. my friend and the best director in the world!!!!!...Remembering Bihimi.. I love you my Jonathan..forever!!!
At 1:44 That part gives me chills every time cause it shows that we all think that Hannibal is watching us at anytime and unfortunately he's everywhere
I finally found it ... happy···! !! A very quiet and beautiful ending song that seems to cause a premonition. Lector's escape drama doesn't end until he's caught.
2:25 Enjoy the highest violin clay of the staircase until its played out. There is no better word for that sound than "fantastic" (in all ways). Beautiful work!
After death of Ennio Morricone (fortunately I was lucky enough to experience Him live, in Łódź Atlas Arena), Howard Shore is my composer of choice. He's the best to me.
We've lost many great film composers besides Ennio Morricone at this point: James Horner, Jerry Goldsmith, John Barry. Howard Shore is indeed one of the great ones still left right now.
Hey guys, see the guy in the bottom left corner in the blue baseball cap at 4:35? That’s Jonathan Demme giving you a wink. RIP and thanks for this movie! 😉
Not sure how this score didn't get nominated. Though John Williams' score for JFK was brilliant. By the way, why is the comments section for the soundtrack to JFK turned off?
“I have no plans to call on you Clarice; the world’s more interesting with you IN in.”
So you take care now to extend me the same courtesy.

Silence of the lambs Finale is one of the all time classics. Hands down. Period.
This soundtrack is just perfect for this movie.

Our Shadow. Ever mysterious!🌊🌊🌊🧜♀️
l've always thought intelligence and evil where 2 x sides of the same coin.

Haunting🌊
YES...👏
It truly is couldn't say any better myself
Everytime I watch the ending I try and keep my eye on him as long as possible but the credits always get in the way.
His hat blows away if you look on hard enough. Hopkins breaks character trying to hastily retrieve it.
1:43 gives me chills every time I listen
The End Credit Scroll with that background sequence I might play it on my funeral
I know what you mean, it gives me goosebumps every time, but it starts at 0:57 for me!
Same. Even 30 years after the fact.
Terrific
Hauntingly beautifully dark!🌊🌊💙🧜♀️🌊
"Well, Clarice. Have the lambs stopped screaming?"
"Doctor Lecter?!"

Jodie Foster is just amazing
I CANNOT BELIEVE that Howard Shore was not nominated.
One of the best movies in the thriller genres. The music is very good as well.

Last scene of clarice cornered, shrinked body and strapped with the phone wire as she talks with Lecter is a mastery of filmography.....chills.
The best movie I have ever seen
An eerie lullaby in the aftermath of a nightmare....
1:43 awesome...
Very dark music. That's one of the reasons the movie is scary
Another wonderful track

Did well with the editing, a great score.

A word of praise to Howard Shore for a remarkable music score and also to Homer Denison for the brilliantly effective and so memorable orchestration.
Beautiful music 👍
Blessed be the poster of this
Damn I really do enjoy this piece...it's perfect and final.
Le meilleur thriller au monde...( Avis perso).
l'un des meilleurs ça c'est sûr

"tell me Clarice. Have the lambs stopped screaming?"
Y yes 👍 I just ate lamb chops for dinner and then I didn't hear anymore screaming
Love the picture of Clarice and Hannibal in this video
This track should have been called "I'm Having An Old Friend For Diner"

This music really is a villain triumph

I know the movie swept at the oscars but the academy still managed to snub the incredible score.
Hannibal in the last scene always reminds me of Raymond Reddington

"Doctor Lector? Doctor Lector?!"
*Lecter
Why is Hannibal's last name "Lecter"?
Because he thinks human flesh are de-Lecter-ble!
Shall we begin?
Loved the power point title animation
Dr Lecter? Dr Lecter?...
