The early Amiibo era is insane. I'll still never forget that certain someone who bought out a whole bunch of Rosalina out of pure pettiness. Stuff like that is definitely why Amiibo kept up as a brand. Its lowkey what kept Nintendo going in the Wii U era more than anything else... lmao. As for the Sm4sh + ORAS combo... while I don't look back on the games nearly as fondly, I still can remember all the hype leading up to both games. It was just some of the best Nintendo community hype. And I sometimes miss that smaller and close knit vibe.
I remember i picked up pikachu and samus really close to release and it spiraled out of control quickly lol. Thats cool you spoke of your grandma because my grandma bought me a 2nd print villager. I dont have any of those originals anymore but its good memories to have.
I'm glad you made this video and i still play my 2ds xl because I can't do the Nintendo switch the system isn't for me (I have tried more than once to like the Nintendo switch and i just can't sorry). ( I own a 2ds xl and PS5 I'm happy) My opinion. If anyone likes the Nintendo switch I'm happy for you and hope you continue to enjoy the system.
i feel you with Hoenn. There was just somethin about it at the time, and it felt i was the only one! FireRed and Silver were and always will be my favoritess. But now i really appreciate the Hoenn for what they offer and the atmosphere in those games.
I remember getting Omega Ruby, Smash Bros., and the Pikachu Amiibo that day. At the time I just wanted to get the Amiibos that I liked but nowadays I’m going for a full set lol. That November in general was great for me cause Persona Q came out in that month too
Man, I was in my freshman year of college during that time and remembered sadly selling all my games because I had a gaming PC and was like, "Why would I need any of these games".......😢 my SoulSilver copy is out there in the wild, all for Steam cards...
2014 was peak for Wii U
Agreed

I still remember when the Wii U actually came
Legit one of the best days ever. I was in grade 8 and went on launch day. Just got Omega Ruby and a fox amiibo haha. So sick.
I remember walking to GameStop after school when it was all icy outside to get alpha sapphire and smash!
It would be sad if Nintendo removed amiibo from switch 2.
Wow... that was a zapping fast 10 years... i remember walking into Best Buy to check out all the amiibos and i only bought the Samus one that day...
Smash 3ds/wii u still holds up 10 years later
