So the super corrupted EC can only take (corrupted) rites of war if they have Fulgrim? And no rites of war at all otherwise? That really blows for people who want to play evil EC but don't want to fork out a giant out of money for a daemon primarch (or don't play 3000 point games)
You can run Third Company Elite but in all honesty, I hoped for more in the book. Having the RoWs linked to Fulgrim only I think is sad. No new Warlord Traits either is missed potential.

Nice review. My only concern with the first new Rite of War is that you have to take Champions (or Lucius / Eidolon). I was hoping to be able to take an Esoterrorist to be able to pull in some demon allies. Is there anything in the Legiones Hereticus (EC) rule that allows you to ally with demons?
Can they ally in a deamon detachment? And do they have the option for corrupted units? (I saw Fulgrim's rule says daemon or corrupted can take wounds if they fail a morale test, so I'm assuming he has some option to join daemons)
@@Blackhound61 I got the book and, yep, the rules are pretty atrocious, still going to try them out though, the warp scream I think it is 5+ rending impact hit with the palatines with jump packs seems pretty good. Daemon Fulgrim is a bit disappointing, no army wide buff or anything, but you can boost him to S8 with stupefy and the model is absolutely gorgeous
@@johnwatts219 yeah if we get 3rd co elite allowed with Hereticus rules, imagine the Warp Scream on 20 assault marines, or the precision shots on Kakophoni - might actually be decent! The model is the only thing going for them atm though
Overall disappointed, seems the mindset a GW is traitors get bad rules loyalists get good rules. GW could makes this better by allowing Debased Augments on whole squads for 30/25pts Giving us a Kakophoni Character A rite of war removing Disorderd Change and Snap Shoots on legion trait.
@@CinderfallGaming thanks for posting the review, it's such a helpful video to clarify, do you know if you can use an existing rite of war (e.g. 3rd company elite) with the 'legiones hereticus' rules? does it make clear? as i think for many this will be the key factor whether the rules are worth it or not
Loosing out on the Pheonix Retinue rule suuucks. Cause you lose Scoring on a Squad of Pheonix Guard and also they cannot be taken as Retinue for like . . Fulgrim.

I've heard bad things about the Atramentar in this book. Are they still garbage with WS4?

Fulgrim is weak for no reason. Sucks that they make his sunder strike 3 atks
i'm confused by the wording. it seems like the advanced reaction stupifies your own units? that seems like it should be theother way around?

Hi just to be sure , so if i include Fulgrim Transfigured in an 3rd company elite rite of war I will then change to Hereticus Emperors Children?

Yes it can, and moreover - you must use new upgrades instead surgical upgrades if you take 3d company as Legiones Hereticus
