also wood elves are actually morally grey despite being 'good guys' proving that elves don't have to be either the best at everything ever or the most evil MFs in the universe. im looking at you dark eldar

In first edition, when using a Death Jester, you got to choose between 'regular' ammo (sustained...ish) or bio-explosive ammo.
In the latter case, all units that the bioexplosive "shrieker" ammo passes over had to make a morale (battleshock) test.
If it hits the target, from then on it moves randomly around the board 2d6 inches.
On 11 or doubles, the target's head explodes , potentially taking out enemy...or friendly units.
Fun times for the guy who's armour is made from the skeleton of the troupe's precious Death Jester.
holy shit the worst part about the nonsense play thing is It's a PERFECT transition to talking about the Harlequins because this is exactly the kind of shit I can see them do in some performance on a Craftworld or in Commorragh

A high priest of chaos has created the perfect one-time-use spell to completely destroy the celestant prime by sacrificing their life to for the celestant to return back to their human form before their death, before immediately zapping them to a random battle across the realms from the rest of the stormcast to permanently die. However, just as they cast it, a random stormcast gets absolutely bodied by a greater demon of Khorne, getting yeeted up into the air right between the priest and the celestant. Immediately, they're turned back into their human form and blasted to a battle where a red crested dwarf is slaughtering abunch of cultists.

59:48 I always laugh at the harlequin microfilament weapons because when I was stationed in Hawaii, we had to run across a range that the TOW launchers and guys in my platoon would just eat shit constantly cause the knee high grass was full of super thin copper wires bundled up in everything so that by the time you realized it was around your legs, you were already halfway to the ground

Absolutely LOVE the harlequins, I know there over the top but that’s what WH40k is about, and there the dramatic flare I love. I actually practice interpretive dance similar to there movements out of inspiration. It’s fun and therapeutic, and is one of the ways I practice flexibility and stamina. Wonderful video as always, and highly entertaining
i mean they are literally the eldar's strongest units, empowered by the only unchained/unbroken eldar god left, cerogorach. random space marines get up the same level of antics yet don't get nearly as much criticism so meh. im ok with the harelquins kicking some ass because frankly im sick of only space marines being able to have plot armor.

The harlequins were my first army in 8th edition. I had no idea of there rules, no idea of there lore, I just thought they were cool. Now I have around 5,000 points of harlequins, I regret nothing 😊

About halfway through this video and I get the sense that you may not know that books 2 and 3 of Path of the Dark Eldar (another AMAZING book by Andy Chambers) features a Harlequin as one of the main characters.
Yeah the Path Of The Dark Eldar books are great with having (obviously) Drukhari and Harlequins.
Read those after I finished with Path of The Eldar books.
