- Hey Team!! I am back with my full range day and review of my 2024 Bul Armory SAS II TAC 5” 9mm. I must say I was extremely impressed with the 2024 TAC model. This extraordinary build by Bul Armory has raised the bar on the my affordable 2011 on the market. Bul Armory has checked off all of the boxes bringing EDC and competition level 2011 all rolled into one. As much as I believe this is one of the best 2011 to hit the market for 2024. I did have my cons about some of the features but does not diminish the overall performance of the TAC. Thank you for support and watching. FYI, the reason they go with PVD, as opposed to DLC, is because DC is not approved for application, in Israel, for environmental reasons...

I just couldn’t take the V8 ports, it was definitely louder and there’s slight concussive factor, idk I guess I’m not a ported barrel guy. So I’ve sold the Tac Pro 5” and instead got the non ported 5” version like you have. This model still shoots flat, steel frame, 9mm in a 5” slide you can’t loose. Cleaning that ported barrel was a pain in the a$$ as well.
Good morning!! I would agree that the non-ported 5” shoots just as good as its higher priced competitors. I was actually surprised how well it performed. I thought it was already ported it shot that well. For me, I am a V port fan. If the non-ported shoots that well and could only imagine how awesome the Tac Pro performs. I not a huge fan of the cleaning and ports are high maintenance in that area. Overall, Bul stepped their game up with this model. Great feedback. Thank you.
Nice video. Interesting that Bul didnt set the optic cut back far enough to where an SRO wouldn’t hang over the breach face. Was considering the tac 4.25 as my new carry gun. Looks like I will have to rethink my plan.

FACTS! Nightwood Guns did a comparison of his XC vs His TAC PRO. I like Staccato, but I give the W to Bul Armory. I'm waiting for the TAC COMP that is coming out in 2025. Great Review as usual Bruh.

I have the same model and never noticed the grip being a problem on my knuckle. It I don’t shoot as good as you 😂😂😂. I love my Bul!

I grabbed the Tac Pro and running the same setup....been watching for this gun but waited on the 2024 bc 9f the extra mag, etc. With the ports mine looked like they test fired it then just stuck it in a bubble wrap bag and some oil bc the ports had carbon and it was a bit dirty around the feed ramp. May be why you had the issue initially?
Looking forward to their ported & comped version next year.

Love your reviews and this was no different. Do you think it's possible to retrofit a tooless guide rod spring assembly like the Dawson that I believe Staccato uses?

You can, with the tool less guide rod from Bul, Dawson Precision, or Atlas. (Bul is cheaper) and it's what I put into the Tac 5" Pro. Shot fine with over 300 rounds so far.

Good morning!!! Thank you. I would suggest researching the Bul Armory TAC 5” and the Staccato P. As far as a 40sw and 10mm in a 2011 platform would be hard to find. You would either have to get a custom build for either one. For a 40cal, I recommend Atlas Gunworks. For a 10mm, I would recommend Accuracy X. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

Hey George.. The SAS II TAC shoots better than the SAS II Air, so the TAC Pro has to be far superior than both. I will be getting the v8 porting soon. Thanks for watching.

The reason they don’t go with a tooless guide rod is because they don’t do well in combat especially with sand which is where the guns mainly gonna be used in Israel.

I don’t understand their promotional stuff when the guns are never in stock
Seems only guntubers can get them.
I have worked on earlier 3.5” and 4.25” pistols. The quality wasn’t on par with staccato.
I’d buy the 5” pro if I could get 1 and not over pay for it
Their plates won’t work with the SRO and RMR HD.
I don’t think it’s a great plate system.
Their coatings are not on par with staccato either.
I’ve had to re fit their ejectors and ejector pins. That was the grinding I experienced with their early models. It wasn’t a coating issue.
@@PnP-td1mt I agree when they make these in small batches know the demand is high. I would agree about the earlier smaller builds but these new build feel amazingly better. That TAC sells out way too fast. Thanks for watching.
@@PnP-td1mt I don’t agree about the SRO and RMR HD not working in the RMR plate. I had the SRO in it but decided to take it off. The grinding was weird and couldn’t understand how the particles got all inside the frame and slide. There is no grinding anymore. Feels much better.

Hey my brother. Well I only had it out for this review. I ran about 350 rounds through it with only the initial issues. After this review, I sent it to DSC Gunworks to get ported. All I can say this runs and performs just like the higher priced 2011s. I absolutely love it. You won’t be disappointed at all with it.
@@teamblacksmithllc thanks for the reply. I actually just got mine today. It was the last one in stock on Bul Armory’s website lol. I have seen/read a good amount of issues people are having but that’s mostly with the ported version. 2011s can be finicky and sometimes need some tuning.. that’s why I asked about yours. Can’t wait to get it out on the range and break it in. Haven’t decided on porting yet, gonna see how it runs as is first! Again thank you!! See you out there 🤙🏼

Does bull armory make a aluminum grip? I can't find one
Good morning. I don’t believe they do. All I could find are steel frames but the grips are either polymer or G10s (carbon Fiber material).

Hey my brother. The ports are the only difference between the two. I do believe the v8 ports would make the TAC shoot flatter and be more accurate. The wait part is up to you. I Trust me, I would had preferred the TAC pro but chose not to wait. Trust me, if I would have grab the Tac Pro if they didn’t sell out so fast. I’m going to have DCS gun works. I think your over head lens needs to be wiped your getting a glare or the light is throwing it off
@@SkipsGunz I did the table top review in the morning so the it was the sun light coming through my window. I have to get some black out shades to eliminate the glare.
