Hey Mike, this might help you: if there is an odd amount of letters in both of the letter strings (corners and edges) then you have to do the R permutation in between both of the letter strings
I can confirm this is true
Can you maby try for the next video morse code pls🤔. Greetings from holland🇳🇱.
Mike I've got a question. I've picked up my guitar, for the first time since 10 years, because of quarentine. Your video on learning left handed was an inspiration. Do you have tips on online video's/courses to learn it better?

I’m a cuber myself and do 3x3 blind solves every now and then and I will say that it is extremely hard. It takes patience, discipline and practice. So I commend you for learning this skill because it is definitely a daunting challenge! Good job 👍
I just have a question does memorisation of the letters gets easier? Cause am learning and damn it’s tough!
@@megaming3285 it does! just don't expect it to get easier overnight. it takes practice

Now I'm one of the top blindfolded solvers in Vietnam and my times have been improving day by day. You inspired me to finish what I've started and I couldn't be more grateful. You are truly amazing!

Tip for the future: learn algs with eyes open, as sometimes you can figure out what to do at the end with intuition. Once the alg is built into muscle memory, it's easy to do it blind.
Yes I'm surprised he didn't mention muscle memory
The reason why he learns everything is because he sits down and doesn't give up
Yeah many people HUGELY underestimate their capabilities. Basically every normal person who does not have any learning disabilities, is able to be successful and rich, or learn anything and everything they wish to learn. The thing that's stopping most people is their lack of patience, lack of confidence, or their attitude/mindset towards general learning.
And when I say they hugely underestimate their capabilities, I really mean that. The brain may not be as fast and accurate as a modern computer, but the amount of information that you can memorise and store is so immense that you wouldn't be able to reach your limits even after 500 years. And the more you learn, the more your brain becomes accustomed to it, thus making learning such as memorisation FAR easier as time passes.
And actually, if you're someone who's into learning as a hobby, the best way to tell how much your learning skills are improving is learning decimals of PI.
Learn the first 100 digits, record how long it took you, and then come back after 5 or 10 years of actively partaking in your hobby, and learn the next 100 digits of PI, and the difference should be immense, especially if you fully learn to understand how you brain processes and memorises information best, and thus use appropriate learning techniques that work best for you.
@@TechSupportDave wait how does learning automatically convert into being rich and successful?

Maybe but not the most skilled in cubing
It’s funny how he says everything instead of using the shortcut F’ R’ L’ etc.
Those letters you use are primes, right? I like to say non prime letters as the words, left right, front, but when it comes to prime stuff, i just use the letter. It's easier for me to remember for whatever reason.
Why doesn't he say parenthesis out loud, too?
Hahaha true.. as if someone new to cubing will ever know those things even if he says the words instead of notations
What difference does it make? Sure, it's a shortcut when writing. But F is one syllable like front, R is one syllable like right and L is one syllable like left. It's not a shortcut if it's the same amount of syllables
@Kordinary he means the () in some algs like (R U R’ U’) the problem is nobody would say that or the parenthesis they’d just say “sexy” because that’s the name of the move and why it’s in bracets
This is awesome!
I've tried this and it was damn hard. The reaction from Mike when he's done it wasn't even exaggerated. It's real.

For anyone starting out with Rubik’s cubes and are having trouble memorizing the algorithms, I completely recommend trying both and/or one of these:
Write down all algorithms you need to know on a sticky note, and then write a bunch of notes until you fill up a normal sized piece of paper with sticky notes.
The other method you can try is just taking a note full of the algorithms and having it next to you while you solve, don’t feel bad solving with a guide, that’s what I did. As you continue getting used to what you need to do and the moves the algorithms require, you can cross them out from your sticky note, until eventually you remember all of them.
Or you can look at a video for help idk do whatever you want.

Hi Mike. Greetings from Glasgow.
I’m (ironically) watching Groundhog Day right now during lockdown.
I’ve just watched the scene towards the end where Phil’s throwing cards into a hat. He said it takes 6 months at 4-5 hours a day to perfect.
I reckon you need to prove him wrong.
Challenge : A full deck of cards, into a top hat, at a reasonable distance.

Bruh this dude is god, I’ve spent over 900 hours trying to learn how to solve a 1x1 but still haven’t solved it yet.
I would not be surprised as only immortal beings with an extremely high state of consciousness can solve the insanely complex 1x1 cube due to its vast mechanical technicalities and mysterious properties, but even then, it still takes them over decades find the solution to it!
Ikr i have spent 98869352523962378953617869420 hours on the 1x1 and i still cant solve it
you have to do an x' y z' x2 y' to solve a 1x1

Now I realize that what kept me coming back, what not only to see what new challenge you were going to tackle but the joy when success arrived. Minute 2:41 and 8:38. Cheers! and thank you!
Just a tip for everyone here: He's not lying. It does take some effort, but if you know these algorithms, or even two, like I do, it's not too hard. You just need to come up with a silly story or picture by coupling these letters into words.
And the first time you solve it this way, it really does seem like magic! I had almost the exact same reaction as him in the video when I first solved it blindfolded
Clément Pinel yeah I have my reaction on cam. Although my reactions are nowhere near anything. When I get a pb I just giggle a bit and try to reconstruct it.
Don't even need a story, can easily get sub-5min without any memo techniques. I use words for corners, and sounds for edges averaging around 1:50 with little practise. (Am using M2/OP tho in stead of OP/OP cuz that's the only method I've ever learned for bld)
1:10 actually, you dont have to be a genius to do it. You just have to need some logic and memory space cuz you need to learn some algorithms(3 algs) to learn to solve the cube blindfolded. You need some logic cuz in order to do it, you need some setup moves to a specific place then do an algorithm.
When he said that the edges and centre’s made the 3x3 more complex than the 2x2, he never realised that the centres don’t actually move anywhere, they just rotate, so they don’t make the cube any harder, only the edges make the puzzle harder to navigate.
Who else already saw the video but rewatched it so he could get his lost revenue back
