    7:40 uuuuh Grip is THE most useful power in the game, especially in the last third of it. Because it always takes a few seconds for an enemy Sith to interrupt it with a Push, it can be used to throw them from the highground to their death (for example, a scenario that happens rather often in the game: a Sith or two block your way on a narrow bridge - it will take you 2 seconds to kill them by moving them off the bridge with Grip). Grip also turns off enemy Sith lightsabers for a few seconds and makes them stop moving (AI is really dumb) which makes them an easy target for a follow up Red style attack. Raising an enemy up and slamming them into the floor deals fall damage, which makes it really easy to kill enemy Sith or single gunners (just move the mouse forward and backwards repeatedly until they die). Quickly moving the target in any direction (by moving the mouse) and then releasing them from Grip mid movement sends them flying in that direction, which can be used to create distance between yourself and enemy Sith. Using Push right after you used Grip on a Sith will usually leave them defenseless to your Push. Combining this with the interruption of the Grip in the middle of moving the target up will trigger a falling death animation (it works either by triggering a knockdown animation first, which completely cancels out Force Jump damage reduction, or by reaching a certain height, which automatically triggers the falling death animation), which means the enemy Sith this is used on is guaranteed to die. You can also use Grip to throw Sith into lava or any other hazardous environment on the level. You can also perform a Grip + Pull + Blue style attack combo on most Sith in the game, which also has a very high chance to instakill the enemy Sith.
    Obviously enough, all of it is usable in multi-player as well.
    Rage + Heal + Red style is the ultimate combo. Add force speed to rage to make it even stronger but more risky.

      At the highest difficulty Sith use speed when you use it, which just makes it useless. Rage, on the otherhand, gives you a weaker Force Speed buff on top of temporary invincibility, a damage buff and a better chance to break through enemy blocks in a Saber fight (useless for single saber builds cuz red style can't be blocked anyway, but very useful for a staff or dual blade builds if you're not abusing the crouch + forward attack). Unlike with Speed, Sith don't use it in response to you using it at highest difficulty.

    There is a lot wrong here. Speed doesn't make you go faster in SP, the world is just slower, and therefore will not get you from "point A to point B" any quicker. Speed is basically just bullet time. You missed how Grip is basically the gravity gun at max level, and also causes saber using NPCs to turn of their saber for a second allowing you to hit them, and will deactivate thrown sabers at any level. You also missed that Rage is basically force speed but actually useful against Jedi. Jedi NPCs will enter speed if they see the player do it, but won't against Rage. Not to mention Rage's ability to win saber locks without having to give yourself carpal tunnel, since it does make you push harder. Heal does the same thing no matter what level you're at (100 Force = 25 Health). The main difference in Heal is that at level 1 you have to be kneeling down which turns off your saber, level 2 you have to be standing still, and at level 3 it works while moving. You then neglected to mention that level 3 force drain can overcharge your health giving you 25 extra for a short amount of time. Sight is great on MP, as it negates the invisibility given by Mindtrick. In SP it's used to find secrets and seeing mission objective locations, as well as hidden enemies. I'd argue that missing Push level 3 being the ultimate saber lock breaker was a big miss as well. Saber locks against bosses that are CLASS_KYLE, or CLASS_DESANN, can be nearly impossible to win, however by pushing your way out, there is no issue typically.

    I'm surprised you rated Force Grip so poorly. I've often taken Grip rank 3 as a priority since so many combats with powerful sith enemies take place in high up places. If you grip a force-user and quickly flick them to the side, they can be cast off bridges before they have time to force push you to break your grip. Cheap kills. It's incredibly satisfying to encounter a threatening enemy on a bridge saying "I will break you!" only for you to effortlessly toss them into a fiery death in the lava lake below. On the other hand once you've played through a couple of times using this trick you get bored of it and actively ignore force grip to make things more interesting.

      Slamming enemies into the floor with Grip 3 causes fall damage or collision damage. Instakills gunners and makes it really easy to kill Sith even if there is no highground to drop them from. Pushing immediately after using Grip leaves Sith defenseless. Use it to throw them into the air and trigger a falling death animation.

      @@MrFantocan force protect isn't as useful. Rage increases your damage, makes it easier to break through enemy's defence, makes you invincible AND applies an equivalent of force speed 1 on your character. Also, the strongest enemy Sith use force speed in response to your character using it, but if you Rage they don't use speed or Rage in response, which makes fighting them much easier (also, if you are smart, you can avoid actually fighting all of them).
      Also, you don't even have to heal after you Rage if you know you won't take damage for a while and that you will Rage again soon.

      @FerunaLutelou 2 года назад

      @@MrFantocan in my experience Protect is only good for not getting damaged by acid rain...
      Rage 3 lasts long enough to kill pretty much all enemies nearby. As for having only 1 hp left, that's usually not a problem. In the first third of the game, everything is easy. In the second, barely anything can hit you, in the last third, nothing can hit you. So, you don't even need to heal, just rage over and over despite having only 1 hp.
      At jedi master difficulty you can beat tavion and Kyle by raging twice, that's how absurdly powerful it is. If you try that with protect, you will find yourself healing over and over just to not die, because they deal stupid amounts of damage.

    • @FerunaLutelou
      @FerunaLutelou 2 года назад +5

      @@Legomyegoorj that's something that was left in the game since Jedi Outcast. Remember how you could control droids in that game in certain parts of the game? Well, instead of making a whole separate system for that, they just assigned "NPC control" ability to Mind Trick level 4, which you wouldn't get normally anyway, and it was left as it is in Jedi Academy cause (if you didn't notice) they were a bit in a rush to finish the game and this little workaround could've been useful if they made you control droids again in one of the missions. However, they didn't use it after all, and so this was just left as it is in the game, because you can't get a level 4 ability without the console.
