The last time we saw separatist battle droids where in the clone wars, but now we meet them again in Star Wars: Jedi Survivor. Even after all these years since the clone wars, it's good to see that they never lost their charm.

It's funny after episode 1 and the start of the cloke wars the one big weakness of the sroids was so annoying they reprogramed them to be able to think just incase the core was distoryed

We need a Star Wars sitcom called "Clones & Clankers" only starring Dee Bradley Baker and Matthew Wood.
Just a bunch of clone veterans and droids going on misadventures sounds fun
It always fucks me up when I remember that Matthew Wood also the battle droids in addition to Grievous. They're such polar opposites in voice and personality that it's weird to think about.

What's interesting is that the B2s and BXs have a different type of personality quirk than the B1s, that mainly being very competitive and seeking to prove themselves to be better than whoever or whatever they're talking to. A B1 won't be willing to go into a dance-off, but a B2 or BX definitely will if it means proving they're better than whoever challenged them to it.

Sometimes they say “hello” when you force pull them towards you, and when you force push them away they go “goodbye” I managed to do it to one lonesome droid on a ledge on the moon level and it really cracked me up
I once played a star wars RPG and I was able to have an army of battle droids thanks to a high dice roll. My GM Also really loved doing the voices and dialogue!

Here is an interesting fact: The Bedlam raider at 0:14 is voiced by Robin Atkin Downes, the same person who voices certain raiders in Fallout 4, some bandits in skyrim and the Medic class from TF2.

The B1 voice actor must have been having a field day with the voice acting in this game.
The voice actor for the B1 is Matthew Wood, who has also been General Grevious ever since Revenge of the Sith. So yes, everytime General Grevious bashed a B1 in Star Wars: The Clones Wars, it was appropriate to tell Matthew to ‘stop hitting himself’.

The way Fallen Order and Survivor humanizes its enemies have made me feel bad for killing them

There was one I heard where a B1 asks a BX if a lightsaber can really cut through its armor, to which the BX responds "you'll find out."

Everybody is talking about Rick, the door technician, but nobody is talking about cliff droid. Cliff droid was the standout character in this game. He had such an interesting backstory.

I like how much personality B1s have for a droid thats mass produced and destroyed in the thousands.
Supposedly, that's exactly why they have personality; the broken ones get recycled, which causes new ones to have memories already.

P.S. I found out from another video that if you force pull the B1 that's in the way of the laser, it remarks that you've saved it. Dunno if this is specifically for that droid or if their AI is programmed to detect when you've force pulled them out of danger.

I saw a B1 activate a grenade, flail around because he couldn't throw it and run around screaming. Was honestly impressed Respawn made it so the B1s are still clunky and silly a lot of the times because of their faulty programming.

1:36 This is legitimately the FIRST time I have heard the big black dtoids talk,so weird...
I think they talk once or twice in the cartoon, and they say "Roger roger" I think ONCE in _Phantom Menace._
You can hear them talk alot in their debut Season 1 Episode 5, "Rookies." They're capable of disguising their vocabulators into just about anyone's voice.

I feel so bad for the droids, honestly. Like even after the whole Clone Wars bit was over they were still either reprogrammed or repurposed for combat following the downfall of their original creators to serve another bad guy. Despite being 'free thinkers' they still obey orders to the T and get cut down because of it.
Also I find it kinda funny how when they're talking and you cut them down mid-sentence that their voices distort and fade out as they power down. That's such a nice touch, a small one, but very noticeable. Go ahead and rewatch the video, on certain parts where they get cut in half you can hear it, and now that I've told you (if you didn't already notice) you'll never be able to unhear it.

I too liked it better when their voices were more monotonous and less goofy. The droids in phantom menace and attack of the clones were actually what they were supposed to be. Heartless killing machines designed for battle
