Low on interior space, I'm 6'4 and visibility is terrible. Seats are uncomfortable too. Offroad is excellent Onroad excellent too. Power/fuel consumption is acceptable as well. After owning it for 2 years now considering D-MAX. Cabin space is huge issue with Mitsi.

at least you could use a competent driver in the amarok. I own the same car and it would piss all over these tets with a normal driver who understood their car.

Few observations: In the first hill race between the 3 they forgot to disable the TC hence the Amarok not making it up, rookie error. IT would eat that hill any day. Also, THe Amarok has the smalled tires of the lot hence the lack of ground clearance. With slightly taller tires it would glide over those dunes. 3rd, how can they recover the Amarok sideways and 4th recovery from a tow-ball? wow, these okes are clueless. THey should rename this video to How NOT to offroad.

No you are mistaken, all these vehicles will have more on road biased tyre treads on them, I could see the Amaflop and Hilux have Bridgestone Dueler D68 something on them. The D694 will be the all terrains in their line ups but due to higher noise levels they wouldnt easily fit these unless its a extreme trim. The Triton I couldnt make out but if I must take a guess I reckon Toyo tyres, but definitely not mud terrains. Muds on loose sand like this isnt really beneficial as you want to float and not dig in to quickly when traction is lost.
Rok definitely would have performed better if it had a true AT tyre fitted... for an unbiased review all vehicles should have been fitted with same AT tyres and same pressures... another failed review
This test is stupid. All of them with 15psi in their tyres would have done all this at idle. This reminds me of morons bogged on the beach with the tide coming in with 40psi road pressures on sand
Now put 3500kg behind them all and do a drag race on the road. And try overtake another car while towing. And test onroad traction. And test braking. Amarok will be 10x better

pickups isn`t for racing, having AWD in a pickup don`t make sense, that`s what the amarok got, also its load bed is really weak, that pickup don`t even have locking diff or 4l, but it has a great traction control system best out of all the pickups out now, if it had 4l,locking diff and a stronger frame it would of been on top, but off road you need a locking diff hands down

Try equalling it up by putting some decent tyres on the Amarok and actually getting someone who knows how to drive off-road behind the wheel

In every single challenger TRITON AND HILUX were using diff lock, but vw amarok was not
