Rereading Twilight with a (theoretically) fully formed prefrontal cortex... feat. The Oodie

I recently decided to take a journey down memory lane to see if Twilight held up to my teenage fangirl love for it...And I'm happy to report that it did. Stephenie Meyer has truly crafted a timeless story in Edward and Bella.
Twilight first hit shelves in 2005 (nearly twenty - twenty!! - years ago), and has since been read and watched in its blue-filtered glory since. In my opinion, Edward Cullen really did build the mold for the many vampire boyfriends that came after him, and I loved every moment of this reread. I hope to get to New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn later on this year.

This is a very timely video as I just reread Twilight at 27 and had a similar experience! The dynamic between Edward and Bella with the teasing and banter is totally lost in the movie and such it’s a shame, I thought it was really cute and fun to read. I also found the book meadow scene a bit awkward to get through compared to my memory of it 😅
