  • Covet is book 3 in the Crave series by Tracey Wolff, and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. We got to see the world expand SO much - visiting the giants' land, Dragon headquarters, and more. In this video, I'll be going through alllll the details so we can recap all the drama.
Of course, the Jaxon and Hudson Vega situation could not help but remind me of Stefan and Damon from Vampire Diaries, so I had so much fun including that in this video, too.

    'BOUT ME:
Hey, what's up, hello! My name is Katelyn and I am a reader/writer/artist/Ravenclaw/person living in the part of the U.S. that is considered to be District 11 or 12, depending on which map of Panem you're looking at.
I make videos about books, art, and writing (and sometimes about the Bachelor), and I (try to) upload videos once a week.
The way to my heart is quoting New Girl, and if you've read The Hunger Games and Divergent more than five times, I consider you to be a close friend. I love all things Young Adult literature and hope to write some of my own one day. LET'S TALK ABOUT ALL THE BOOK THINGS TOGETHER! Got a book you want to talk about? Drop it in the comments on one of my videos, and I'll do my best to get on that!

It’s definitely one of my favorite classics! My favorite story, at least right now, is Throne of Glass!

Spoilers : (because you mentioned this at the beginning of your video about Jaxon and Hudson suddenly being okay with each other…)
There is actually a chapter at the end of Covet in Hudson’s point of view where the turning point for Jaxon kind of begins. (Which I am sure you already know… 😂 but I gotta mention it.)
Hudson mentioned he was the one who made the horse figurine (they named him Thunder) for Jaxon before Jaxon was sent away to the Bloodletter. Jaxon mentions resenting Hudson because he got to stay home. It’s also why Hudson has a small scar on his hand. They then mention the part where Jaxon killed him, and there is some light heartedness there. Jaxon apologizes for it and Hudson apologizes for hurting Jaxon. So, I think that’s where the healing for Jaxon begins and where he begins to love his brother again.
    Just my thought on it.

that makes sense! thank you!! for some reason I thought that scene was later in the series, but that would definitely clear up why they suddenly weren't at each other's throats 😅

@@theegreatkatsby - It could be another chapter in the next book… as I just finished Covet, but I know she put that chapter in the end. Maybe she realized all her readers would feel the same way you did and want to know when those two started being brotherly again. Hahaha! I don’t know. But I will tell you, I sobbed like a baby during Covet. And I know now, if anything happens to Jaxon, I’m not gonna be okay. Because I didn’t expect all the twists Covet had and all the sadness at the end of the book.
I have never hated a character more than Cyrus. I am just gonna put that out there.
