Ok this is genuinely the best advice for mental multiplication that I’ve ever seen. I do something similar naturally so this method just makes sense and has really helped me. Thank you!
I’m compelled to tell viewers how my son learned the tables after coming home from school. I wrote tables of 1-10. I told him not to memorize because that would have burdened him but only read it daily. After a number of days the tables embedded in his mind. Upon asking any 2 digits he would give the correct answer. I then went from 11 to 20. At 44 now, he can answer multiplication of any numbers on that table. The viewers, their kids or grandchildren may benefit and wouldn’t burden or stress themselves. Reading is easier than memorizing. However reading again and again and again automatically gets embedded.
You're such a great and patient teacher. Thank you so much for all your hard work and for these videos. As a grown up, I realised I'm pretty awful at Mental Maths. I hated Maths at school. Now I'm brushing up with your help :)
This basic math calculation techniques that you teach us is really useful for our life. We use + - ×÷ almost everyday. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. May your life always blessed.
I found out that doing it the school taught way was faster on paper, but in your head, this was faster. Plus we are all used to the school way, cause we have been practicing math that way. If I practiced these methods, I would certainly be faster than a person with a calculator or using the school-taught way. Thank you for your great advice on math, I will continue to strive for my goals. Just started these methods a couple of days ago and I feel like I'm slowly becoming faster. Thank you.
I played your game and i enjoyed it when i was able to practice what i learned, but lots of times there were new things that i didn't learn yet so it kinda put me down. I hope that you can develop it, like making sections for each lesson, or category. Thanks for your amazing videos and for the game., You have my respect. 🖤🖤
im watching this at 2:30 in the morning so this is just flying over my head lol. ill probably watch it again tomorrow so my brain can actually process. it looks really cool and like something id understand
Thank's sir because i dont like math before because my head is hurting when my teachor told but when i watch your videos I love math now because your teaching is basic and effective not wasting time thank 😊😊😊😊
My memorizations 60 years ago are still with me. I had memorized squares of 2-30 and cubes of 2 to 15. Some of your and others’ ifeas of multiplication are faster. e.g. 97 x 93
Just to show there's so many ways to think through a problem, when I saw 46x42 I saw 44+2 times 44-2 and so I knew it was 44^2 - 2^2. 44 squared is 16x11x11 and there's a nice technique for multiplying by 11 to get to 1936 and then subtract 2^2 to get 1932.
I have another way to do a square of two digit numbers that start with 1. For example:- 12×12 So first we are going, to just multiply 2 with 12 which is 24, then we are going to plus 24 12× Which is 144. This doesn't seems the simplest but it is easier for me.
LOVE YOU BROTHER.WHAT AN AMAZING WAY YOU TEACH AND I REALLY ENJOYED IT.I HAVE A PRAY FOR YOU THAT ALLAH GIVE YOU MORE MORE SUCESS IN YOUR LIFE.LOVE AND SUB FOR YOU FROM PAKISTAN
1:30 - Squaring numbers Round and add subtract other number opposite of what you did to round then square that number and add to bigger number you multiplied 3:00 - 2 by 1 Multiplication by addition Take apart as hundreds, tens, ones and multiply left to right 4:00 - subtraction method of multiply Take apart as 100 tens ones and multiply each. Can round up but subtract missing and multiply parts 8:53 - factoring method 11:15 criss cross method
There is another easy method for squaring two digit no..... For example let's take 23 so here we need to do square of 2 which will be 4 and then we need to multiply 2 with both the no. So 2×2×3 and then again square of 3 which is 9.....so overall it will be 4 12 9...where the 1 will be added to 4 and the answer will be 529....and I think it's much easier and quicker... thankyou ❤️
very well explained, i am in 7th grade and i take loads of help from your videos, i’m pretty sure i wouldn’t have known many of these methods if not for you, i have subscribed to your channel.
There is a faster way of multiplying 2 digit numbers together and that is multiply vertically (like in the criss cross method) but not diagonally. Then after you do that then multiply diagonally and add.

12x13, 2x3=6(unit place)and 12+3=15, so 156 is the answer. If two digit got in unit multiplication, there is a carry over.
