I rode 12 school buses back before I graduated. Thomas C2 No. 594 (I reckon it's a 2006 or 2007 probably retired summer 2023) was decent but garbage. A bluebird RE No. 19 (retired) A Thomas flat nose FE No. 164 (retired) A first gen bluebird vision No. 192 (probably retired) A short IC CE No. 739 (unknown) A bluebird vision like RE No. 186 (probably retired) A short Thomas C2 No. 107 (retired) A bluebird Freightliner No. 721 (most likely retired) A flat nose genesis No. 311 (retired) A bluebird International No. 160 (retired) A IC CE No. 784 (still in service I reckon) A Thomas C2 No. 188 (probably retired)
Thats not cold starting lol. Where I work the buses park in a heated shop at 40 degrees no need to wait for the grid heater starts right up. We got one old vison like that one I dont drive bluebirds but I would drive that over the new vision our vision has a 5.9l cummins. Rest all run 6.7l cummins
All 3 are privately owned, and if I had to guess he probably bought it from a state that has strict requirements that a retired school bus can no longer resemble a school bus to be legally driven on public roads, and he’s probably not the first person to own it since it was retired from school service.
All 3 of these busses are probably now privately owned and no longer in service for a school district. Some states require that for a retired school bus to legally drive on the street it can no longer resemble a school bus any longer, yellow must go, safety lights must go, stop arm gets pulled. That blue one was probably purchased from a state that has those requirements and this person is not the first owner since it’s been retired.
Nah that sounds more of what a Caterpillar would do lol Cummins been pretty dependable and served me well Cat on the other hands been a big smokey turd
I’ve never heard of such a thing happening with any, luckily anyways this bus is super low mileage and was treated very well by the school I purchased it from

So what happened to 106 and 39? Sorry I have not been in the loop
My mistake for not mentioning it actually
106 was sold to a school
39 I sold to one of my good friends
You work as a bus driver?
Nope, these are my personally owned buses
Why do you have a blue school bus?

Why Is that bus blue?

@@itzryan_1 they’re definitely cheap lmao
The C2 I paid a good amount on, but 420 and 46 were cheap
I’d take the Thomas if it had a cat or mbe motor not that pos Cummins that will be blowing a head gasket really soon unfortunately
Nah that sounds more of what a Caterpillar would do lol
Cummins been pretty dependable and served me well

@@ThatOneLT1 you’ve gotten lucky so far our Cummins keep eating fuel pumps and blowing head gaskets when they get up there and high mileage
