I hiked alone to Mount Baldy/ San Antonio summit (10,064 ft above sea level) via the Devil's Backbone trail. I also made a slight detour to Mt. Harwood summit, which is 9538 ft above sea level, before heading to Mt. Baldy/ San Antonio summit.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! Actually my first time taking a real meal on a hike and it definitely helped lock in the memory of being up there. I can still taste it haha.

It was definitely worth it for the amazing meal but also not worth it because of the food coma afterwards.

are there stray dogs roaming around there?

I don't think so. There are some houses near the beginning of the trail and from what I've heard, some of the owners let their dogs walk around, which is probably the case with the dogs I saw.

sweet vid man. do you know if the America the Beautiful Pass works here too? that is the $80 federal pass, I think it's supposed to be good at all national parks and forests

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think so. This trail is under a different jurisdiction.

The America the Beautiful Pass does take the place of the Adventure Pass. I did some research prior to getting one. Also, if you can't get any kind of pass in time, just park at the trailhead and if you happen to get a notice, you just send in the 5 bucks. It's not punitive, there is no fine.

Awesome video dude! I saw on the AllTrails site that you need an Adventure Pass for parking at the trailhead, is this true? If so where did you get one? Keep up the good work man

Thanks man! You do need an Adventure Pass. You can buy one at the visitor pass on the way to the trailhead or online. I got mine from REI.

And you can buy the 2nd vehicle Adventure Pass for only 5 bucks with purchase of 1st vehicle pass.
