In my humble opinion, the last genuine masterpiece the Stones did. No surprise that it was also the last album to feature both Mick Taylor and Nicky Hopkins. They haven't been the same since.
I'm kind of with you on this album and song representing the end of the Stones in their prime. One later song that I would include in this level of masterpiece is Memory Motel. Other songs, like Start Me Up, became huge hits, but for Stones fans who loved the band in their peak period, something changed. The magic disappeared after Mick Taylor and Jimmy Miller left, even if they remained very popular.
It’s a really good song but the album was a big step down from the previous ones - even Goats Head Soup. Some Girls blows this album away and is classic. Tattoo You is much better too.
Mick Taylor's swan song with the Stones.. So well done. Reminds me Brian Jones checked out in good form as well, with No Expectations. Which perhaps ironically, is a favorite of Mick Taylor's of the time before he was with the band.
Another great Mick Taylor performance is in their song "Winter".... Would love to see you do a video response on that. ruclips.net/video/wnvT_Izb90M/видео.html
Mick Taylor solo with Carla Olsen Sway. Or Winter. Just turned 74 (I think). After leaving the Stones still holds up especially Spanis and A Monor. Mid seventies jazz fusion was popular, and the record has jazz, blues, and rock.
I just discovered your channel (and subscribed). I am not sure what other Stones songs you have heard yet, but on top of "Time Waits For No One" (my favorite), "Monkey Man," "Can't You Hear Me Knocking," "Mother's Little Helper," and "Tumbling Dice" are all great.
This has been my favorite Stones tune since I first bought the album maybe fifty years ago. Like most of their records nearly all the tracks find a place in our hearts. Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main Steet, Black & Blue in that order for this year. Next year will be different again. To many hidden gems to maintain a favorites list for long. That would be neglectful of the World's Greatest Rock 'n' Roll Band! Long live the Stones & The Glimmer Twins. Keith still maintains the Stone's sound, but Charlie Watts is missed. So too is Bill Wyman's bass line. The Amelas One
Look Moonlite Mile up from the Stones, the same feeling comes over you , Album Sticky Fingers 1971 You gonna like it for sure Best regards Martien Mastenbroek . I like your comments of the songs Thumbs up
Maybe not my top ten but a great diverse list Dead flowers, waiting on a Friend, Girl with Faraway Eyes Dodododoo (Heartbreaker) Dancing with Mr D We Love You Short and Curlies If you cant rock me
David Bowie's TIME from his unjustly neglected rock masterpiece LP Aladdin Sane. This was recorded with the same band as Ziggy but after a massive NOrth American tour and they were well seasoned and tight as a drum
01 It's all over now. 02 Route 66. 03 Everybody needs somebody to love. 04 Satisfaction 05 Midnight rambler. 06 Gimme shelter. 07 Honky Tonk Woman. 08 You can't always get what you want. 09 Sympathy for the devil. 10 Out of control.
If I am not mistaken, The Rolling Stones were not referred to as "The World's Greatest Rock 'n Roll Band" until after The Beatles broke up. It was not arrogance, but a nod to The Beatles.

Nicky Hopkins played on the next album "Black and Blue"
@@roberttompkins6489 Yes, on two tracks. I sold the great man short by one album. Sorry about that.
@@davescurry69Hopkins was on three tracks from Tattoo You - Tops No Use In Crying and Waiting On A Friend

An absolute masterpiece that does not get enough attention.

From the same album I recommend If you really wanna be My Friend. I always loved that one. Top ten for me.
That was the great Mick Taylor on lead guitar.

you need to review "fingerprint file" from same album
This whole album over and over on my moms bed with headphones on.
A really exceptional song and the best one on the album (It's Only Rock and Roll). Piano by the great Nicky Hopkins.

I really love If You really want tn be My Friend
@@SoulTrainBro Hi Wayne! 🖐
@@SoulTrainBroTime Stand Still by Rush. Must listen. Great song.
One of my favorites from the Stones, far too many to name a best song but this is ~glory~.
Indeed it is Kitty and you’re also right in far too many to name. Greatest band ever for me at least.
Oh, it's AWESOME - the perarling piano sounds like raindrops on a windowpane. The guitars touches (my) soul
GREAT!

Amazing Tune!
I saw Mick Taylor in the mid 80's solo great guy, very humble.

The Amelas One
It,s too beautiful,
A band called Widespread Panic does a cover of this. It’s done live at Red Rocks and is on RUclips.

Mick Taylor still in band so picture is inaccurate.
Mick Taylor.... 2nd only to Jimmy Page.
