Here in Kerala, right from the times Raveendran Master made his sway into the Malayalam music world, his music has been referred to as Raveendra Sangeetham...... This is like Ilayaraja's claim that whatever compositions he made should not be used without his permission and without paying him royalty. Ilayaraja was given appropriate slam by the honourable madras high court.... What Ilayaraja does is using the swaras and ragas invented by masters of music... and he says that he is the sole owner of his music.....
Likewise, what Ravindran used to do is to use the Swaras and Ragas composed long back by masters......
But Rabindra Sangeetam was Tagore's own creation as fas as i understood.. Bro... So Raveendran is no match to Tagore....
You can use the term "Raveendra Sangeetam" if Raveendran had created a new genre of music... 🙏🏽

None of the maestros have produced original music, going by your explanation. They have all taken swaras and ragas and made compositions based on those......
And Rabindranath Thakur is no exception. His songs are heavily steeped in Hindustani and Bangla folk tunes .... Going by your explanation, there isn't anything original in that either.......
