This Necklace is made with an embellished netting stitch. It is an impressive necklace but takes a lot of time and beads to accomplish, but is very much worth the effort.
    Materials:
400- 4mm round crystals or Fire-polish beads ( I say 600 at the start of the video but that is incorrect)
2 colors of 11/0 seed beads (15-20grams of the main netting stitch seed bead and about 10 grams of the embellishment seed bead)
    8/0 seed beads 10-15 grams
    15/0 seed bead 5 grams
    Fire Line 8lb
size ten or smaller beading needle
    3 strand Bar Clasp

Gina, I wish I could share my pics with you. I've completed a black & silver set and a Champagne & Gold set. My first set was crystal and I gave that as a gift. I discovered a flaw in my champagne necklace so I tore it down and am starting it over. I'm a bit of a perfectionist. ;-) I love these! Thanks so much. And you ARE an excellent tutor! ;-)

Hi Carol, you can show me your pics on my Gina's Gem Creations Facebook page. I would love to see them! Sorry you had to take apart one, they are a lot of work! But an imperfection, once noticed, can drive you crazy!

Gina, I can't thank you enough for your generosity in sharing this beautiful necklace. I used to do bead work many, many years ago. This has given me the incentive to go back to beading again. I have been a wire artist for about 10 years and I love to challenge myself to new things. All these pieces are simply wonderful. Thanks again. Patti

Patti, thank you so much for your compliment. That is a great compliment indeed! I am so happy that this little necklace has inspired you so much! I cannot express how happy that makes me. I love wire work too, but I am not very good at it. It takes a very steady and talented hand to do wire work, maybe someday I will acquire that skill. I am sure you will make a beautiful necklace. Have fun!

Yes, color is a challenge. I usually buy beads that I like then when I decide to make something I pick out colors I have that go together well. So my beads choose for me. LOL!

GINA! Your method of adding thread is *life changing* - I was scared to try it because I was afraid it wouldn't hold. And then I nearly ruined my piece with the traditional method and said screw it, I'm trying it!! I used my thread burner on the thread tips and I've done it about 5 times. I'm sailing through now with ease, OMG

Hi Gina. Im a glutton for punishment. I finally decided to make the necklace to match my bracelet. I added 2 more segments, used 11' in matt gold for the connection bead and 11' in ab purple topaz. Ive only beaded 3 inches but its gorgeous. Probably going to need 900 to 1000 bicones to finish it. Tfs.

I really appreciate how you impart your knowledge and skill in making this beautiful necklace. Instructions are very clear and can be done easily. What I want to know is how to to lock the thread when in the middle of making the necklace I run out out of thread. And how to continue the making the necklace when I add some thread

    • @GinasGemCreations
      @GinasGemCreations  10 лет назад

Jane the easiest way is to extend your fireline, then you don't have to tie off and on to add more thread. There is a video on you tube called "extending fireline for bead weaving" search for that title on RUclips and watch the video. It is a very quick video but can show you how much better than I can explain it.

Hello, I love your designs. You explain everything so clearly and it makes the project simple. I have 1 questions: where did you say your got your beads from? I didn’t catch that info at the end of your project. Thanks so much and I will keep watching your tutorials. And thank you so much for sharing your designs. Blessings, Nancy

Hi, I purchased these beads like 10 years ago, I do carry in my own website store the 4 mm rounds that you’ll need for this if you’d like to shop there. It is ggctreasures.com.

This neckace is so heavy. I did a similar one that is just mesh and it’s heavy baby. I might add bicones in particular areas, but I’m not a fan of taking a beautiful delicate mesh into a glitzy way too fancy necklace. It’s definitely beautiful but where would we wear it?

I am SO impressed and inspired by your videos. I had also tried to go to your store and got the error, but I read your response to Lisa. Will you keep your videos up and allow us to stay subscribed to your channel?

Gina!! Gina!! Absolutely beautiful and stunning!! I already counted out 2 colors of fire polish (metallic purple lilac and a jonquil ab but a tad darker). I have enough in each to make everything. I just have to decide which color and which seed beads to use. I can't wait to start. Is it ok to sell the finished projects? I just want to make sure before I do. The whole set(earrings, bracelet and necklace are just amazing!!!!). You do such fabulous work!!! I love the way you teach. You make it so easy to understand and follow. Thanks so much for taking the time to share all the steps. I really appreciate it. Sincerely, your new friend Melissa Doucette from Florida.

Hello.. I really want to make this Necklace.. but when you started to show us how to add on the Fire polished beads.. Your hand got in the way and without seeing that, it left me scratching my head.. If you make this necklace again.. could you let me know.. Simply Beautiful !
