  • MY FIRST 4 POINT! To do it with Dads old whitetail thumper is extra special since we lost him in October of 2015 to cancer. He is missed by so many.
    This is the 4th buck I've taken from this exact spot, the previous 3 were all 3 points. I'm still SHOCKED I was able to get this on film. What an experience, what a rush, what intense emotions... I'll be holding this moment close for the rest of my time.
    I know this video won't appeal to everyone, but it certainly will to many. Hunting has been a passion of mine since I saw my first deer hanging on the pole. Those who know me well, understand that I don't take imposing death on anything lightly. The second I lose remorse for killing, I'll stop doing it.
    Thanks for watching. LIKE and SUBSCRIBE!!!!!

    Title said BLACKTAIL and then I watched you punch out your Mule Deer Tag. Kinda took the fun out of it for me. I likely know the answer but so so many won't. It's worthy of explaining it up front.

    • @ALLHARTADVENTURES
      @ALLHARTADVENTURES  Год назад

      There are no specific BT tags in British Columbia. Is that the answer you expected? Blacktails are harvested under Mule Deer tags. Sorry my provinces regulations spoiled the video for you 😂

    My question is how come it took you two shots at that distance? It should have been done one. Did you really need a scope nice buck though kid

    • @ALLHARTADVENTURES
      @ALLHARTADVENTURES  Год назад +2

      It’s a red dot, no magnification. It’s something my father always wanted to put on this rifle, and I actually really like it as my eyes aren’t great at picking up the front sight. My philosophy on the 2 shots, is the faster it’s over for that animal the better. It didn’t “take me” 2 shots, the first would have definitely done it. But the follow up is something I learned as a young boy. End it as fast as possible (within reason of course). Extra meat waste wasn’t on my mind at all. But with both shots very close to each other it was minimal anyways.
      Also, my shoulders aren’t well. So anchoring that buck in the middle of the road so I didn’t have to track it down the mountain was a high priority.
      Thanks Lance 🤘🏻

      @boomer6942 Год назад

      Yeah here in California is it illegal to shoot on into or from a road. Shop lot of bucks to my day never had to shoot twice I guess I just been lucky or a damn good shot we can't use lead either so you really have to make your shot count. The buck and my profile I got him at 80 yd with the 270 e-tip Nosler 140 grain have a 30/30 Winchester that I carry with me when walking into the forest before I set up at my spots Good Old iron sights good luck next year

    • @ALLHARTADVENTURES
      @ALLHARTADVENTURES  Год назад +3

      No mistake: here in BC, ‘mule deer’ tags are for both mule deer and blacktail. We don’t have separate blacktail tags. 🤘🏻

    • @ALLHARTADVENTURES
      @ALLHARTADVENTURES  Год назад

      Here in BC there are no Blacktail specific tags. Mule Deer tags are used for both species. This makes sense as they interbreed so commonly. If specific BT tags were enacted, tags specific to the “hybridization zone” would need to be as well. Our wildlife programs aren’t funded adequately for such an undertaking.
