That was exciting, Hunter! 270 yards isn't a close shot; it's good that you didn't squeeze when you weren't comfortable. Half the guys I know couldn't have made that shot; you are learning and getting better. Good hunt!

Great job young man for not rushing the shot! You can't undo a bad one.

Hard lessons learned I’ve been there when I was young and definitely learned from it! Now when a buck gets in my scope it’s lights out

The boy is learning 3 life factors, patience, timing, and disappointment. Good video

Being a young hunter has to be tough. I don't know if I could of done it, but my dad never took us hunting. We went fishing when I was his age, and usually it was him taking us out before the gates were open to the lake. I never shot my first Black Tail tell I was in my early 30's, and I shot a nice 3 point. One year on opening day I could of shot a small spike, but it was too early in the season. My wife and I watched it turn to look around the corner of the road we were on, and I told my wife that someone else is driving down the road. I decided to run the spike off, and around the corner was a man and his chubby kid. I asked them if they seen the spike, but they didn't because they were looking on a hill side. The CHUBBY kid asked why I didn't shoot it, and I said I was looking for a MATURE BUCK! The CHUBBY kid said "YOU CAN'T EAT THEM HORNS!" I would of gave him a DOUGHNUT if I had one! LOL

His face needed to be at least 5 inches closer to the scope to get full view. I think he might have been looking through a black key hole haha

Looks to me like he didn't have the rifle in a good position to properly view the buck through the scope. Appeared the scope was too far away from his eye.

Man when I was 12 I was having to walk down there behind the gates. If I was hesitant my dad would be saying shoot it now! shoot! shoot!

I get it, I got my son into a hunter safety class as soon as I could. It took three attempts over two yrs, at about the same age. Since you named him Hunter it's a given that hunting is your passion ? But clearly he is not ready to pull the trigger on live game ! Much different then paper ! Patience is one thing, maturity is another ? Pump the brakes pop !

That’s why he killed one a year ahead of that season and that season and now this season. This buck was at 350 yard double lung. How about you tell my son to pump the brakes and see what his reaction would be

Where'd you get the camo blaze orange vest? Weird but I've been struggling to find a good one.

It's a tough situation, and it was an intimidating shot at that distance, but it is what it is. Next time.

I'm sry but his head was so far away from the scope no way he could see anything threw it. I'm not trying to be rude but your the one with experince and should have told him to get his eye's closer so he could see what was going on.

You mess with the gun the whole time when the deer is in the rd, then when it gets in the brush and kid can't pick it up you belittle him. Over half your videos are a perfect example of what not to while hunting. Do better.

I couldn't agree more. I also noticed this kids head was a good 10 inches form the scope no way he could see anything like that.
