Join Sean Daniel and Ian Stich on a magical ride to the tonal centre where they meet Eric Clapton and Duane Allman along the way!

Another thrilling chapter in blues guitar week. Видеоклипы
Mind blown!
If someone had taught me taught this 40 years ago, I wouldn't be stuck in a goddamn cubicle now!
It's not too late!
Sean Daniel I'm on it...
I'm in the same boat Tom. I was given piano lessons for two years back in the early 60's. I stopped working at it because I wasn't being taught anything that interested me. I wanted Chubby Checker and got classical training. Too young and unmotivated to realize I should have just done it on my own. Someone said "never to late" in these comments. Oh Yeah - picked up stringed instruments late in life and couldn't be happier about that decision. (or the choice to start watching these videos - stuff this good wasn't available back in the day, you had to get lucky and run into someone as good as these guys that would be willing to help)
78tag well said, my friend.
LMAO brother! Thanks!
Great explanation of how the minor and major pentatonic scales fit together.
Thanks so much Lee!
Sean Daniel n
The Clapton/Allman example was brilliant. Good job guys.
Thanks for watching!
Yea sumed it up basically.
This video gives me a good feeling for the whole humanity =)
PS. We need more jam stuff from you two. I love this synergy...
+1
Saving the world one jam at a time!
MC nataS Agreed! Great chemistry facilitates a great time learning.
MC nataS I uhh loveuh thee videosuh sorry to crack some fun on you guys but I truly love your videos. thank you really
EXCELLENT explanation. I have been playing blues/metal/rock forever and have only recently been dabbling in the major scale.
This is the exact issue I've been up all night trying to understand, thank you guys! I feel like I'm really getting the help I need. I hope both of you continue to work together and continue to release new material onto RUclips, I need you guys!
Thanks so much! We've got a bunch more videos planned so stay tuned!
holy shit!!! Sean, man... I don't know if you'll see this but 15+ years of playing and I've ALWAYS avoided the major pentatonic, avoided the relative minor thing out of fear! this makes SO much sense now! I can't thank you guys enough for this lesson. I've been at it all day today and can already hear a complete difference! thank you!!! THANK YOUUU!!!
+Albert A so great to hear man!! Thanks for reaching out and keep rocking it!!
This is the best and clearest explanation of pentatonic scales I’ve ever heard.
Thanks so much for watching!
I love you guys! This is something that many beginner guitar players find confusing and you two nailed it.
Thanks Ralph!
Finally someone shed a light on major and minor scales. Great video and great examples.
After watching a number of videos this i found to be the best for me...thumbs up to you sir(s)
You haven't really introduced much theory here that I didn't already know, but the way you guys explain and demonstrate it clears it up in my mind so much more than it was before! Love your vids Sean, and the two of you together really works well. Keep it up.
Thanks for reaching out Steven, I'm definitely gonna have Ian back on soon.
You're the first teacher who explains this stuff in a way I can understand. Thanks.
+BabyBoomerChannel So happy to help!
The Dynamic Duo back in action. You guys rock!
Thanks so much David!
Great tutorial! I love it when you guys reveal little secrets about the fretboard that translate to huge gains in the long run
Thanks for always watching!
that's the first time I saw an actual explanation of the difference between the two scales instead of a "teacher" just shredding on a guitar. thanks for the lessons and stay classy!
Thanks for watching and dont worry, ALWAYS gotta stay classy.
That was the best lesson I've seen for sorting out the major/ minor pentatonic differences.
Thanks so much Kevin!
You two are like a WMD for the youtube guitar theory community. Really enjoy when you two do videos together, you both have a way of complementing the other for a full picture of the points you are trying to teach. Thanks for the good vids keep it up well appreciated :)
Thanks Mike, there will be more to come!
These Sean/Ian videos are the best guitar videos on the Internet. I feel like this needs more branding.
I know I am late (2018 here), but you guys teach the best and most easy way for others to understand. Appreciated! Keep it up
Happy to help!
Subscribed! I enjoyed the way you guys explained this. Very clear and very joyful energy you guys have. Thanks!
What a trip you guys are...I just s learn more and more when you two are playing together
Thanks brothers
Thanks so much man!
Great! The Diatonic Duo are back. Great stuff guys.
Might have to trademark that nickname :)
I love the sinergy between you guys and how straightforward your explanations are :)
Next video on how to mix major and minor please!
Thanks so much Henry, great suggestion.
Soooo helpful. Amazing that no one shows you this kind of stuff. Thank you.
Happy to help!
I've been looking for a video like this for hours thanks! Finally something that makes sense. Other videos say they are intro but then throw in 5 positions of just one scale and barely explain it. I was getting so confused why these positions were not consistent this makes total sense now especially with what you said about the pinky
You guys are two of the great teaching duos of RUclips, and I really hope you're making loads of cash. Because your synergy is AWESOME!!
And I actually enjoy learning stuff from you guys. Regardless of whether Im watching this Channel or "The Stitch Method".
You guys are natural teachers. You were created to do exactly what you're doing...OUTSTANDING!!
Thanks so much man! We'll keep em coming!
Dude I've been plucking around on the strings for about a year now and have learned all this shapes and bought a fretboard atlas but never understood the how and when to use it because most channels just show the shapes and that's it. Thanks brotha man!
Happy to help my man!
Best explanation of Minor versus Major pentatonic scale I have ever seen,... and I have seen a few!!
Thanks so much Patrick!
You guys have a great vibe together, really easy watching and listening. And of course - the content is very helpful. Thanks for the video. ;)
No problem. :) Thanks for watching!
Subbed immediately after watching your boxes and this. Great video, clear explanation. Been playing for a while but never seen it put so simply. Great work both of you!
Welcome to the party!
Great video, love your chemistry. Need more 🤘
I feel as thought the clouds have parted and I can now see for miles and mile of musical miles. Thank you, gentlemen.
So great to hear!
I am subscribed to both of you guys and really enjoyed and learned from your tutorials I have seen so far but didn't know you two knew each other ! you both have a great sense of humor and cool and so much alike ,good for you and thanks for sharing your knowledge with us and making it so fun and easy to follow.
Thanks so much! So cool you found our channels independent of each other. We've been buds for years.
So awesome to have two guitars going at once to explain how the scales fit. could swear my brain was playing tricks on me with that first example, crazy how the same notes sound major first and minor after big thank you from sunny Ireland!
Sean, you recapped this subject in 15 seconds! There are videos around YT that explain this in 15min at least. I like you guys having fun together and learning at the same time!
Thanks for watching! We'll keep it up!
Your channel and videos are so upbeat and well thought. I rarely comment on videos but I had to do it. Great job!
I appreciate you reaching out Pedro! I'll keep em coming!
Dickey Betts wrote Jessica. and Blue Sky..my favorite happy guitar solo...even better it's got Duane and Dickey jamming. Great video.
Thanks Steve! I can't believe I didn't know that was Dickey!
Dickey Betts is the best. My favorite guitar icon. Liz Reed, Jessica, Blue Sky, Ramblin Man, phew.
I,m thinking a good follow up here would be session on how to harmonize dual guitar riffs the way they do.
You're a genuine hero, bravo for everything
Always happy to help my man!
This helped me so unbelievably much, I can't believe I went this long without understanding this simple concept. Thanks soooooo much

Thanks for checking them out!
@@seandaniel23 Yeah, the best part is you're not kinda showing how to play something then saying go to your patreon to see how to play it like some other popular guitar guys on RUclips

Happy to help Alan. When I first read this comment, I was like 'boxing video?' then I realized it was pentatonic boxing :)

Good job guys. Dig ur vids Sean.
Thanks so much Dante!
Good shit boys. I was working on some Deep Ellem Blues this morning and this helped me get my Jerry on a bit... Guitar playing is like walking around in a huge dark house and every once in a while a light comes on, inviting you into a new room. You walk in and have a look around. You might leave. You might stay, but that light stays on going forward. That's your room now. The goal is to get that house lit up like a Christmas tree and bounce around like it's a cocktail party and you're the host. Amirite?
Thanks for watching! Totally agree.
Yeah, it made sense. THANKS!
