My son got admission letter fee was i think USD 33000-36000 , campus job can't pay your fee, with acception. It can only help in living expenses as you have 20 hrs a week and most part time job pay 10-12USD
I'm a current ASU student and I haven't landed on campus jobs even through referral. I mostly tried for roles that are directly or tangentially aligned with my goals - TA, RA, Grader and venture mentor. Anecdotally, I heard that there's a massive funding crunch right now. I have personally been in situations where I was almost about to get a role but suddenly ghosted. If you are an international student, better have a reasonable margin of expenses since ASU hikes the fees in the middle of the course like it did this semester. You'll never get the courses of your choice. I've spoken to the highest level of academic advising. No luck with the courses. Your goals are mostly not respected. It's just a run in the mill. I'm from a normal undergrad college in India and it seems that I gained a lot more in India than here. It's just my experience. You gotta be prepared for all situations and be okay with it if you are coming. Do check ASU's reddit
This. People need to be aware of this situation. There's a decent amount of red tape involved in regards to landing on-campus jobs, so it's not as easy as just saying that you can do a part time job to cover for your expenses. And in a lot of cases, when you talk with the management in hopes to address these issues, you get the standard, threadbare responses like keep applying, we'll notify you when there are vacancies, etc. I've attended several fairs for on-campus roles, been applying for on-campus positions left and right. I've been given assurances multiple times that something will eventually turn up. But, one year down the line, nothing has turned up. The application and selection process is, frankly, a travesty. Without any referrals or approach, chances of landing an on-campus role are incredibly slim. And even when you have those references, it's not assured. For someone who arrived at ASU as a fresher, with minimal professional experience, it's an incredibly hard and dismal process.
@@sohambhowal3510 To expand on this, there is a lot of competition among Indian students as ASU's MSCS degrees have 90% Indians and ASU has increased their enrollment capacity too. Every position receives 100 to 150 applications for a single opening, but some people do get these openings like the person in the video, but not true for everyone.
Thank you for all the respect and love, but I as an Indian don't like to hear the term "superpower" around my country because we're still tooooo far from the reality. And love you too!

Ajay, the last member of the video who is a RA, said he got the position in the second semester, I'd like to know how he managed the fees for the first semester and, whether he was self-funded or on a different scholarship.
Okay, it should come soon😂, because all the professors are saying they can give me a RA position after the first semester but I don't know how I'm going to afford the first semester fees and living expenses.
Hi yudi. Can you make a video on. Is it worth doing masters in USA by taking education loan in 2024 due to the continuous recession? Hearing a lot of negitive things about the job market there.
ASU is now just a money making scheme especially for MSCS or software related courses.... They have admitted too many people but don't have the facilities / jobs to cater these students... Its fees are also now at par with private university. Minimum wage is just $13 dollars while rents are very high. I would not recommend ASU to international students applying for masters especially MSCS, MS SE, MS BA, MIS, MS IT etc.. They are using us.. they even charge for facilities that students don't even use... even for things like student id card.. Many classes are "hybrid" means you are watching videos and attending class once a week to "discuss" while paying fees at par with live class.
Dear Yudi J, What if I've taken the transfer from one university to another after landing in USA and how the visa will work if I want to go at home country and come back in meantime Since the Visa now is for the old university and you're studying in a new university Will this create any problem in future in case i want to work on opt

Leap finance is better than prodigy. I took from leap and even my friends who are coming this year had trouble with prodigy, hence they went with leap
Oh no 🙈
What was the issue
Prodigy didn't release the money until late October. He relied on a generous friend to pay his bills for the first two months.
