📚 The #1 question I get asked is: What book(s) do you recommend for aspiring Instructional Designers?? Here are my top picks:
1) Map it by Cathy Moore: amzn.to/42d6eBu
2) Design for How People Learn by Julie Dirksen: amzn.to/3HxrlVj

Thanks for the template! I'm trying to transition out of teaching and learning to write a resume that's not for the k-12 education world has been one of the most stressful parts. I'm excited to try your clean and simple design. Do you have any videos about writing a cover letter that highlights the teaching strengths that transfer to instructional design? Or just cover letters in general... Lots of conflicting advice out there. Thanks!
Hey thank you so much for watching! I hope you find the template easy to recreate! Hmm I don't have any about cover letters or teacher strengths that transfer to ID, but I can definitely add it to my list! I will say that some great transferrable skills are: curriculum planning/mapping/development, leading meetings/live training sessions, using data to inform your decisions, and using online learning platforms! Hope that is helpful!
