I was so surprised when I saw the title and thought Mana really was accepted in UP only because entrance especially for foreigners is so difficult. Glad Mana enjoyed her tour of UP.
My brother was a UP Asst. Professor, and one of his privileges was free medical and health check ups for our parents. Around 20 years ago, mother became ill so I brought her to the public health center. However I noticed she was not improving despite taking medication for almost a week - instead, she got worse. That's when I decided to bring her to the UP Infirmary. There, the doctor told me that my mother's first attending physician (in the other clinic) misdiagnosed her illness - that's why her condition became worse after a week's medication. The UP doctor promptly changed my mother's medication - and happily, cured my mother. My family has never been so thankful for that free medical privilege at UP!😊
That's Great! You are a lucky girl because only a few lucky persons can pass the UPCAT. A blogger named Jessica Lee, mentioned in her video years back that she tried taking Exams from UP & ATENEO but was not lucky enough.

In fact, it might be even more difficult since you need to have an outstanding performance in your acads since junior high i think? whereas in upcat you still have a chance by reviewing for the entrance exam to improve your upg
@@awittwittwit9520 agree! it's harder to evaluate students with the pandemic adjustments since there's really no standardized grading in the ph. just to add, your upcat upg is also based on your high school grade + upcat score, the scores will then be ranked which will be the basis for the slots (they admit the upper 10-15% per year).
That campus is crazy big. It’s not even manageable to just use cars since you still need to walk long distances to get to most buildings. That school made me a marathoner and helped me became a strong mountain hiker😂. The walking in between classes is like a no-choice thing lol and you need to walk really fast.
It's the students that bring glory to the school not the other way around. The entrance exam in UP is one of the hardest entrance exam in the world, so if you passed it, you belongs to the top brightest group of students....

As a Filipino living also in the province part of the Philippines, I am also in shock as well T-T. Well, I know UP is huge, but I actually wasn't expecting it was THAT HUGE? omg. I could get lost In my first day if I was a student there T-T.
If you are already amazed by how big UP Diliman is, UP Los Baños is way way bigger -- about 15,000 hectares. UP Diliman is only about 500 hectares. Visit UP Los Baños, too! ❤️

So I read up on it and the UPLB campus itself is just 1,000 ha. It is included in the 5,500 ha of the makiling forest reserve, 5,700 ha are uplb land grants in real and siniloan, 705 ha is an agri research center in negros, and 3,300 ha is uplb land in paete - making up the 15,000 ha.

Not all courses in UP needs a difficult - to pass - exams in order for you to study in UP, just to remind you. But all Bachelor of Science and Engineering courses requires you to pass this difficult entrance exams.

Before going there, I advice anyone aspiring to be a student of UP one day to see the Metro map. The UP Diliman grounds appears small on the map, of course. So that you will not be overwhelmed when you get there. The 'Ikot" jeepney drivers will guide you where to get off from the jeepney. I think it will only cost you twenty pesos for an Ikot travel around the campus. Have I become a student of UP? No! hahahaha!
