Hello and welcome to the World of Micah! I travel around filming everything and anything I find interesting -from theme parks to abandoned urban exploring. If you enjoy learning more about Disney history, tips & secrets or a fan of Walt Disney World nostalgia you have come to the right place. I also enjoy showing Universal Studios history and taking a look of what’s left of from classic attractions like JAWS and ‪Back to the Future‬. More of an Urban Exploring fan? I travel around Central Florida and film everything from abandoned Toys “R” Us stores to abandoned attractions. I'm also a major Movie Buff! I have found the filming locations from such films as Edward Scissorhands, Halloween (1978) & Hocus Pocus!

The glory days! Going to the theme parks and staying on 192 in the 90s as a kid brings back so many amazing memories.

I never started staying at Disney until I was older. But the core memories as a kid visiting Universal and Disney when they were at their best. I stayed and ate at 192! Dinner shows, buffets, exhibits, etc. Sad to see the purple numbered sign’s desolate.

After haunted mansion, it was a honky-tonk nightclub called "Alligator Alley". It was an awesome night club where the DJ booth was in a monster truck, the had a mechanical bull, several pool tables, and had a huge dance floor. One of the nights I went, they had a truck-pull party outback. It was awesome. I miss that place

I remember going to the American Gladiators Dinner Show down there on 192 somewhere. It was set up like Medieval Times, but instead of horses and knights, they had big stunt men beating the shit out of locals who were stupid enough to take them on. It was the late 80's and all of the dinner shows were thriving.

OMG...I used to work for Kissimmee Go-Karts. It was fun. An I used to play mini-golf at the pirate golf. As well as another one, I believe was called Adventure Golf, that is completely gone. I remember so much that is not even there anymore. I can tell more if you want. Thanks for the memories...lol.

Neat idea.... some of the ads looked like they had a little map of where they were, so that should help.... it is a shame that certain things that were good or hip then are just a passing fad now.... I liked doing go karts all the time, when I was younger, but I think that might be a thing of the past soon.... dinner shows were great, too..... thanks for sharing.... take care.... have a great day.... thanks...👍👍👍👍👍

Oh Micah! Thank you so much for this! I have been trying to watch your videos in order (as you may have gathered, I try and comment on each of them) but I had to watch this one out of sync as I had that 192 magazine with the coupons! It is so cool seeing all those adverts to hire camcorders and the like.
I did go to Splendid China back in the day, in fact we stayed at the Days Inn Maingate West, which I believe is no longer there now… but back in the day a lot of the workers from Splendid China lived there, they were so friendly and I can remember one time playing the Simpsons arcade game with one of them in the little arcade that they had in the hotel.
Bit sad to see that Pirates Cove Golf like that, me and my mate played a round there on one of my last visits to Orlando 😢 we went there and then went to the Bob Evens, which again I understand is no longer there.
Again, thank you so much, you have made me nostalgic and happy at the same time on this grey, wet July evening here in the UK.

Hi Micah! Love the old days of 192. I can remember staying in a KOA campground on 192 in the early 70's with my family. They had double decker red busses that would take you to Disney World. I have looked for it but it's gone, new KOA further down. Any idea what's there now?

We used to vacation in that area in the 70's, 80's, and 90's and we had a condo in Buenaventura Lakes back in 1985, which is just off 192, I remember this area well. I actually went back there a few weeks ago and road around and was just crushed to see all the stuff that was either gone or vacated. Adam did a video a long time ago and it was the only one I could find (I have pictures from 1985) of the old Kissimmee Driving Range and the putt putt course that was there. I used to go to that Pirates Island putt putt course back in 1985, so it is at least that old and predates Old Town, which opened in 1986. I am not sure about the Pirates Cove because they were also around back then but I am not sure if they were there or not. I know River Adventure was and the Congo across from the old Xanadu was there back then. Oh and that first hole did have the mounds like that. If you went down the middle it would wiggle and sometimes go in and sometimes not. I spent a lot of my youth at that go kart track, the Kissimmee driving range and all of those putt putt courses. Water Mania really was great, too but I always went to Wet N Wild, which was the BEST!!! Before Universal bought it of course...

Great video BTW, I really enjoy your walks down memory lane in that area, because I love it...BTW, smart move not going into some of the areas of that mini golf course. I went there to look at the remnants and there were vagrants back in the rear parking lot. I'm sure they are sometimes in those structures. Also, it was one of the bigger ones in the area and when they started having 36 holes instead of 18 at a lot of places. I remember you mentioning something in one of your recent videos about going to Island H2O. It really originated because the locals wanted a more Wet N Wild and Water Mania feel. They were tourists water parks but the locals really went there a lot, too. George Millay (Sea World and Wet N Wild) and the Larsons (Water Mania) were beloved in that area. When I come back, I'll definitely go to Island H2O instead of the other parks that are 2-3x more and less home feeling.

Really enjoyed the video and looking forward to more in this series Micah.
My brother and I have been trying to find the name of a restaurant on 192 that I visited as a kid with my family in 1991. As I remember, it was arctic themed & most memorably, it had animatronic penguin characters in the restaurant and maybe they were even looking out of the front windows.
I am fairly confident it was located on 192 somewhere between Old Lake Wilson road and 429, but I was young and my memory is a little hazy on that. Anyway just thought I would ask in case anyone else remembers it.
***UPDATE 11PM: After several hours of searching, I finally found the name and confirmed this restaurant wasn't a fever dream from 30 years ago. The name: Key W. Kool's
It was located in the building which is now the Kobe Japanese Steakhouse on west 192. I found an Orlando Sentinel article from 1991 that described how the animatronic penguins were located in the second floor windows, which very closely matched my memories of the place.
If anyone has any old home videos of Key W. Kool's I would love to see them.
