- In this flight review, we fly Cathay Pacific Economy Class on an A330-300 from Hong Kong to Chengdu.
Our journey starts at Hong Kong Airport Terminal 1, where we will explore what the Economy Class airport experience, including Check-in, is like. We will also discover one of the world's most impressive airport spots, the Sky Bridge, a 200-metre-long glass bridge where you can see aircraft passing under your feet.
Once onboard the A330, we will take a detailed tour of the Cathay Pacific Economy Class seat and enjoy a delicious Chinese-style lunch with a treat for dessert.

Great comprehensive review, looking forward to their come back! Looks like (although I'm not certain) you were on an ex-Cathay Dragon aircraft, which utilises a regional config with less legroom than the full fledge Cathay Pacific product. These are usually used for routes to China.

Cathay is a real good and save airline -we had already several flights from Frankfurt to Hongkong -years before with the 747 back to Frankfurt-i would recommend for it 💖

Thanks for visiting HK - 1:10 HK Security and Immigration is super fast - most of the time you are through both security and immigration in 5 minutes even if the queue was as long as the one shown.
I am fortunate enough to fly 10+ times return trips to PEK (Beijing) on KA (Dragon Air) - most of which on the 330 - definitely wish they updated the seats on the 330 (but please keep the 32 inches of legroom) - unfortunately I don't think they are bothered enough to do this / will make the pitch =

Agreed - A330 is super comfy for regional flights within Asia despite the old seats. Let’s see what they replace these A330s with! Can’t wait for the 777-9 although Boeing isn’t getting a lot of love at the moment.

Wonder what people would prefer to take between the 330 and the 321n for these relatively short flights

@@comfytravelsfair, i think the lack legroom in cathay's 321n really turns off a lot of people. It's the sort of product that you'd want to try at least once, but the 330 feels like a more comforable seat & plane
Well, at the very least, i think cathay's 321n has the best seats you can get on a narrowbody

Just for the reference:The regular cup noodles are only for the long haul flights . Your vegan noodles should be for the vegetarian pax just as a back up in case their meal mis-loaded and that’s only have 2 loaded for the whole aircraft and for both ex-HKG and return sectors. So , don’t be surprised if the crew cannot offer you 😅
My favorite airports are Hong Kong International Airport 🇭🇰, Changi Airport 🇸🇬, & Incheon Airport 🇰🇷

Haneda🇯🇵 is where I entered when I went to Tokyo. I also like Kansai Airport🇯🇵 in Osaka.
Been flying Cathay from London to Hong Kong as well as Hong Kong to Singapore a few times since early 2023 and early 2024(just got back 2 weeks) and i have to say its been a really great service. Skytrax ranked Cathay number 8 in 2023 which was a high jump considering it was ranked 16th in 2022. In terms of Airport yeah Hong Kong airport is pretty good. I do prefer to eat at Tsui Wah restaurant near the check in area and not so much inside, but as airport goes i would say T3 Changi Airport in Singapore. Cathay from HK to SG arrives at T4 Changi which is not so bad. when that first opened in Singapore it use to be called "Budget Terminal" then rebranded as T4. LOL But i have to say HK airport transport into city is so great!! if its not the fast train to central but i tend to take it to Tsing Yi then MTR to Prince Edward which there is direct bus as well. So Hong Kong beats Singapore in terms of airport transportation this is based on looking a the Changi's MRT and public buses Versus HK express/MTR and the Hong Kong KMB "airport" bus's
Hey there, David! Both are truly great airports - I wish European airports were as good and efficient. Although, to be fair, some airports like ZRH and HEL are pretty good to but are not comparable in terms of passenger throughput.
I love the Airport Express in HK too! You probably know already, but you can buy discounted tickets on Klook.

@@comfytravels Oh I agree ZRH and HEL are very impressive airports Amsterdam not too bad but in Europe I do really like Munich especially transiting on a Lufthansa flight. Mind you I last did that in 2018 era LDN to Munich to Singapore and I think it was T2 Munich which is very well known of the Airport Alpine brewery called "Airbräu" I never knew of Klook!! thanks for the tip!!
