Jackie is a really funny guy both in performance and behind the scenes. I spoke to him briefly after one of his shows years ago in Staten Island and then another time when he was selling his cd on Wall Street. I think it was Hot Dogs and Donuts. The police came by and had to break the news to him that he couldn't sell his cd on the street without a permit or else they would have to seize them. When Jackie had to break the news to Nancy who was there as well, it looked a live-action Stern show bit. She was cursing and screaming at him but he took it in stride and just gave out the cds to people for free. I was the last person there to actually pay for it before the police shut him down so the joke was on me. ;)
two guys that helped me keep my sanity through many years in dull, soul-sucking office. sanity while trying to muffle gut-splitting laughter...KC and his antics, too...."Gay C". haha. and of course Robin and her timely intelligent comments over the chaos in the studio.
Howard made two great back to back decisions hiring these two. The show was great for so long. It’s tragic that both of them screwed it up. Howard also screwed up by not finding another established comedian to take Arts place.
they should bring these two back at the stern show. they could all work there together without getting in each others way cuz they have different styles. the show should go out with a bang.
I agree , I only watch occasional interviews the show dosent have the same energy and chemistry it once had with Jackie and the orginal crew .The early 90s to mid 90s I think were the best ! and all Robin does is chime in now and then and cackle , I miss the old gang , they had great chemistry
I didn't hear the part about Howard wanting to bring Artie back either, in fact everything I've heard Howard say suggested he was wary of the Artie rollercoaster.
These two were the show... Howard is great, and I love him, but these two are the best. I was always a Jackie fan, and I thought he caught a bad rap from Howard, Robins, and Fred. And I'd love to see Artie on the show one more time. Just for an appearance, but I think it will never happen... Sadly.
