I have been out of the Air Force for more than 20 years. I tell everyone that you should go over seas I was stationed at Misawa AB in Japan. It was freaking awesome! A few words of advice: One, don’t buy a brand new car you will not need one I have seen so many suckers buy one and then complain about not having money. Two, if you get injured or hurt go to the hospital to be seen and get transcripts and keep them in a folder. This is very very very very important because when you leave the service you can list injuries and to get your disability rating. Now you may think I am just milking the system I am not. I had a cyst the size of a lemon that was removed from my wrist and the VA doctors further injured my wrist trying to remove it. Other than that have fun, be sure to salute all officers. Don’t get too drunk because doing PT the next day will suck!
I think the Air Force will take you until you are 39! Army is 35, but you gotta ship before your 35th Birthday. Marines I think is 29. Don’t have any regrets. I have plenty!!!

@Beijing King this is a text I received from a recruiter "With this pandemic going on, we're working with the most qualified applicants because we can't process many people as is." Another recruiter told me that you would have to have a 70+ on your ASVAB and no criminal records of any kind, because they're not doing any waivers.
My AF recruiter has been the opposite with me. My very first visit I was pressured into taking the ASVAB in one week. I told them I hadn't even began studying yet (my own fault) and they reassured me that if I didn't like my score that I could retake it. I passed, but as I was expecting, I was not happy with my score. I knew I could do better if I just had more time. My recruiter said, "Well, I can give you one week to retake it." I should also state that he tried scaring me into keeping my score. I'm not happy at all about being rushed, and it's all because of his deadlines. I've considered seeing a different recruiter, we'll see what happens.
I ship out on December 17th right before Christmas for the Air Force. It's good to see someone else in their mid 20s jumping into the fold (26 here). I hope our paths cross sometime!
I liked your story about the hearing test. I went through it too. I remember that sensation of hearing the tone but not knowing if it was real or if I was hallucinating! I went through MEPS in 1984.
this reminds me of the day i went for all this, pretty much the same story..for some reason i was just nervous so when they took my blood pressure it was really high so the lady told me close my eyes take deep breaths and think of something relaxing and it made me pass it. crazy how this is exactly how i remember when i went but i went for marines, another thing i was told is depending what you eat or drink that morning it can affect your blood pressure results but i did not listen so may of been partly that but not 100% sure
I know I’m late but I test for meps next week on Wednesday and I’m nervous but excited!!! I heard the actual Asvab is better and a little easier than the practice test but I hope I pass and I’m studying everyday
I'm a former TI and I'm retired now. Sorry you had problems with the recruiters. My nephew will be going to BMT soon. Keep your positive attitude and you'll be fine. Good luck and God bless.
Great video! I am literally doing the same! Always had a desire to join the Air Force after high school and now that I am 27 l’m finally going through the entry process! Maybe we will be in basic and the same time.

My son is 18 and leaves for boot camp next month, he's excited, enlisted for 6 years🙄im going to miss him but he has a bright future ahead of him,I'm a proud mom😊He's hoping to be stationed overseas in Japan🤞🏽
I was in the Army, but I have heard from numerous people: In the Air Force, DO NOT end up as a single parent. THEY WILL CHAPTER YOU OUT, REAL QUICK! The Army and the Navy don't that. I don't know about the Marines. In the Army, you fill out a form , called a family care plan. Make sure you will be able to take care of your child or children. If deployed, be sure family members will help you out.
My MEPS and DEP program was so fun! Wish I can re live the whole time before I shipped off to NAVY! It was so fun! Only thing is I had to go to meps about 3-4 times! But I was in Ohio, so we stayed at nice hotel in Cleveland! Fun family came and stayed in same hotel with me but bought there own room! Made a mini vacation out of it! But it was fun! And my recruiter was the BEST.
Do you mine me asking which office your recruiter is/was out of? Mine is incredibly unhelpful and I read don't think he has my best interests at heart. We're in similar locations and I'm willing to travel to talk to a good recruiter.
Just found your video!!! I’ve been looking for stories explaining the process so thank you!! I’m wanting to enlist, Air Force has always been the dream for me, literally from cadet Corp in elementary to AFJROTC in high school. My only concern is my GED but that’s only motivating me more to do great on the asvab. Thanks for talking about your process
Omg I want to join the Air Force but I am currently a little bit overweight ... I am super motivated to enter the Air Force ... so, I will do my workout so I can get ready before doing the whole process until I reach the boot camp. I also have a bachelor's degree ... I want to serve my country and I want to have a good future that allows me to continue gaining knowledge and new experiences, in addition to visiting several countries of the world .. I am also in the high 20s (27, actually) ... I hope everything works for good .. greetings from PUERTO RICO ..
SO since you have your 4 year college degree, do you think you will go to OTS? It would be good to be an enlisted for a few years etc. then go to OTS. A lot of advantages of being an Officer.
Hi Brittany, i would like to know whether i can join Air Force reserve. I am 44 yrs old and i am a federal employee from NJ. Can you please give some suggestions and who is right person to contact.
Hey Brittany, what was it like going through all of basic as an older recruit? I will be going in at 26/27 as well, so I am curious to know what it’s like when everyone else is younger
I had a leg surgery when I was young, I believe 7. Of course it doesn't bother me and since I was young it healed quick. Will that come up or can I bs it?
Use every opportunity and continually ask supervisors for extra training. Be careful what you volunteer for in BMT. Taking responsibility will get you in trouble for other people screw ups. The AF can send you to just about any school or private specialty course or instruction that exist. Keep records of everything. Get everything in writing. Have fun but don't party with the young troops. Stay away from debt. Once you become an NCO, it's all much easier.
Cesia Rodriguez for the navy, I had to take it at the office and the test didn’t have a time limit but you have to take another one to lock your scores down and this one has time limit at Meps then they schedule your physical and stuff so you go back to meps for the second time to do your physical that’s when you swear in.
Brittany Willis thank you for that I honestly forgot they had that. I am excited to hear about what your going to pack and your journey because I’m 25 and feel Im mature so I’m a little worried as well with the younger crowd
Hello, hope all is well and thank you for your channel and feedback, I have a couple of questions about BMT and tech school do you still get vaccinations and how is DFAC these days because of this COVID ? Wondering if they want you heathy and heard of giving you the shots and pills with the live virus might get sick or sicker if you have COVID without knowing. Thanks
MEPS sucks. That's all I gotta say! I've been there it's awful but it really depends on what day they send you. The day that I got sent two doctors quit right on the spot and we had to sit in a waiting room for 4 hours and didn't get anything done! But honestly the best day to get sent to MEPS is on a Wednesday.
You have a degree and chose the enlisted over being an officer, why? I never understood this, why anyone with a college degree would voluntarily choose to earn less money and put up with more shit than an officer does. smh
ive been trying to get a hold of a recruiter for so long and no one is answering my calls. I fear that if i do get in contact with one they will immediately disqualify me because of my self harm
Hey, I was trying to reach an af recruiter for like 5 months but couldn't. So iwent to the navy office to inquire and they signed me up for active duty, then I panicked lol and may have called usaf head office and finally got an AF recruiter. I'm so excited to be leaving soon. Tnks for the video❤ Also I like ur hoodie. It's really cool
Q: hey, I just want to ask if you live far from a country and there is no recruiter in your area, and how can you be enlisted. Example: I live in Palau and the closest recruiter is in Guam. So how can I fill out paper works, etc.
the day of your physical, did you have to take off toenail polish? like is it okay to have nail polish on your toes? I got a pedicure but I heard somewhere they make you take off the polish if they see it, but I know we won’t be in socks for the exercises. but that also may just me for your hands. idk
I would seriously love to and be honored to serve my country however my concern is... (I want to become a pilot), but possibly getting something completely different than what I want. Is it a risk I want to take? I’d love to hear from anybody with advice (:
Thank you guys so much for all the support!!! Don't forget to subscribe ♡

Her cheekbones are 🔥 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
My son is 18 and leaves for boot camp next month, he's excited, enlisted for 6 years🙄im going to miss him but he has a bright future ahead of him,I'm a proud mom😊He's hoping to be stationed overseas in Japan🤞🏽
D.Michele I hear Okinawa is one of the nicest bases.
I'm the same as you with a no medical history hopefully I can go to meps and get my ship date quickly!!!!
Lmao at the handshake, I'm most likely to do something as embarrassing too and it'll live with me forever.😣😣😥🤣🤣💖
Brittany: 8:25 "I thought the food was ok, it was good".
Gordan Ramsey: Am I a joke to you?
I’m taking my asvab tomorrow at Meps and my physical test on friday. I’m nervous for Meps.😬
Did you pass? Was it hard?
Awe .. you uploaded this on my 18th Birthday ♥️ I want to go to the Air Force but I don’t really know what I want to do .
Do some research online or talk with a recruiter :)
And here I am, having had started the process 7 months ago lmao, still haven't sworn in yet
Hey, Brittany these videos have been a tremendous help. Thank you so much!
Are you allowed to wear makeup at Basic? What about grooming eyebrows and such? When is this allowed during BMT?
No, you’re not allowed to wear makeup during basic. You can groom your eyebrows on sundays when you have a little extra time.
Thanks for watching! Best of luck to you!!
Other good people for Air Force are EloraJean and PopularLoner
I was LMFAO at the hearing test part 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

What is your rank now? And what’s your job? I just joined air force and my job avionics!
I had the exact situation with the hearing test 😂
You take your ASVAB after you go to MEPS? I thought you had to take it before
Nope you take it your second day
You take it at MEPS if you didn’t take it in high school or it’s been over 2 years since you took it!
I took it at MEPS
Cesia Rodriguez for the navy, I had to take it at the office and the test didn’t have a time limit but you have to take another one to lock your scores down and this one has time limit at Meps then they schedule your physical and stuff so you go back to meps for the second time to do your physical that’s when you swear in.
Anyone know where to get that jacket? Freakin dope.
So glad I saw your video. I am in the same situation living on my own I’m renting. Are there ways out of your lease? Or what advice do you have?
My apartment complex accepted my DEP contract to end my lease and I’m now staying with my parents until I ship out!
Brittany Willis thank you for that I honestly forgot they had that. I am excited to hear about what your going to pack and your journey because I’m 25 and feel Im mature so I’m a little worried as well with the younger crowd
Maria Artis did you end up going ? I’m 26 and I’m going to talk to a recruiter next week
diana rodriguez I decided not to go. Congratulations on taking that step. You got this.
I’m almost 15 right now, I’m joining Air Force when I’m 17
Did you have to pay for the hotel?
No
Hello, hope all is well and thank you for your channel and feedback, I have a couple of questions about BMT and tech school do you still get vaccinations and how is DFAC these days because of this COVID ? Wondering if they want you heathy and heard of giving you the shots and pills with the live virus might get sick or sicker if you have COVID without knowing.
Thanks
My meps was cool we was able to leave the hotel and the people at meps was really cool
How come you didn’t commission as officer when you already had a degree? How come you chose enlisted?
MEPS sucks. That's all I gotta say! I've been there it's awful but it really depends on what day they send you. The day that I got sent two doctors quit right on the spot and we had to sit in a waiting room for 4 hours and didn't get anything done! But honestly the best day to get sent to MEPS is on a Wednesday.
You went in as an E3 correct? Since you got a BA degree. Great video btw!!
Correct! Thank you!
You have a degree and chose the enlisted over being an officer, why? I never understood this, why anyone with a college degree would voluntarily choose to earn less money and put up with more shit than an officer does. smh
Omg where did you get that hoodie?!
My recruiter
Congratulations.I am in Bulgarian air force from 15 years.
ive been trying to get a hold of a recruiter for so long and no one is answering my calls.
Tnks for the video❤
Also I like ur hoodie. It's really cool
Q: hey, I just want to ask if you live far from a country and there is no recruiter in your area, and how can you be enlisted. Example: I live in Palau and the closest recruiter is in Guam. So how can I fill out paper works, etc.
Does meps check your RUclips channel and what u post on Instagram
In the process of joining the Air Force now, I pray to God I meet someone as beautiful as you when I get in
I’m not sure if I missed the answer, can you take the asvab before you enlist and get sworn in?
You have to take the asvab before you enlist and get sworn in
the day of your physical, did you have to take off toenail polish? like is it okay to have nail polish on your toes? I got a pedicure but I heard somewhere they make you take off the polish if they see it, but I know we won’t be in socks for the exercises. but that also may just me for your hands. idk
My recruiter told me not to wear any so I didn’t.
111 over 76 is close to average blood pressure (actual average is 120 over 80)
I would seriously love to and be honored to serve my country however my concern is... (I want to become a pilot), but possibly getting something completely different than what I want. Is it a risk I want to take? I’d love to hear from anybody with advice (:
