In the transportation and construction industry, heavy vehicle tires are one of the most important components that must always be in prime condition. However, due to the high production costs of new tires, vulcanization of used tires is a smart solution that combines efficiency, sustainability, and cost savings. With modern technology, used tires can be reprocessed into tires that have performance and safety that are almost equal to new tires.
However, of course not all used tires can be vulcanized. Only tires with casings that are still in good condition and undamaged internal structures can go through this process. In addition, the number of vulcanizations that can be carried out on one tire depends on the initial quality of its casing, with an average heavy vehicle tire being vulcanized up to two to three times before finally being crushed to be recycled into another form.
