I had a motor that was hard to turn last year. I thought, man this motors got some pop!! Must be good!!

My Xnova was running hotter than usual. I found the default timing on my hobbywing 180A HV was set to 25 degrees. All my other hobbywing ESC were set to 15. I reset the timing to 15 degrees on the 180 and noticed a cooler running motor and also lower rpm.

25 degrees is pretty high! Glad you figured it out!

FYI I learned this week that HW latest firmware is 25 deg default. I changed them back to 15 after updating firmware on all my ESCs.
