Albert (Seth MacFarlane) discovers somebody (Christopher Lloyd) doing some secret work in a shed.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Seth MacFarlane plays a hapless farmhand in the Old West who loses his girl when he ducks out of a fight, only to be taught how to shoot by the wife of an infamous gunfighter in this Media Rights Capitol Western comedy. The setting is Arizona, circa 1882. In the wake of talking his way out of a showdown in the streets of Old Stump, cowardly sheepherder Albert (MacFarlane) is unceremoniously dumped by his beloved girlfriend Louise (Amanda Seyfried). Meanwhile, on the outskirts of town, notorious outlaw Clinch (Liam Neeson) prepares for a big holdup, instructing his wife Anna (Charlize Theron) and sidekick Lewis (Evan Jones) to pose as a pair of sibling farmers in Old Stump and await his return. When Lewis starts a bar brawl, Albert instinctively gets Anna out of harm's way and a friendship begins to blossom. Later, Anna poses as Albert's girlfriend at a fair in order to make Louise jealous, but it all goes awry when Albert and Louise's new beau Foy (Neal Patrick Harris), the owner of the local "Moustachery," end up challenging one another to draw in front of the entire town. Now there's only one problem: Albert has never even so much as fired a gun. Fortunately, as the wife of a notorious outlaw, Anna knows her way around a pistol, and with just one week to go before the big showdown, she offers to give Albert a crash course in marksmanship. With the help of his sexy, straight-shooting teacher, Albert not only manages to hit a can or two, but to summon some inner courage as well. He'll need all he can get, too, because when Clinch gets word that his wife is being romanced by one of the locals, he rides into town with revenge on his mind and a loaded six-shooter on his hip.

This is one of the dumbest cameos ever. Having Doc just randomly come in and say "Great Scott!" in a western paraody isn't smart, it's just pure laziness. They could've used this opportunity to re-enact one of the scenes from the movie. That would make a better cameo.
But this cameo sucked just like all the other cameos in this terrible movie.

My jaw dropped to the floor when I saw this part. The whole movie I was thinking, this reminds me a lot of back to the future part 3.. then they showed this and I was floored. Back to the Future is my favorite movie trilogy of all time. It was greatly expanded upon after the 3rd movie with the telltale series of games. It was supposed to be continued but well..telltale went under.
I consider that video game to be Back To The Future 4.

Everyone keeps asking where Marty is. Remember, before Marty went back to save him from Mad Dog Tannen, Doc was stuck there alone for a few months while he attempted to fix the time machine before he realized it was impossible since the parts he needed weren't invented yet, so maybe this is from then? Yes, we all know the real reason is probably Michael J. Fox most likely couldn't do it given his present condition, but movie-wise, think of it as before Marty went to get him. Lol
Another note, real BTTF nerds will notice that this is the wrong version of the time machine. Right before Doc throws the sheet over it, you can see that it has the plutonium reactor from the first movie, whereas the one in the Old West from Part III would have been the later incarnation with the Mr. Fusion on it.
And marty would have been way too old for a cameo, doc brown looks like he could be the same age as the original movie, more or less lol
But the film is set 3 years before 1885, the neither of them should have been there yet haha

@@chrismc410 i mean sure he could have but it would make no sense seeing as how the doc didnt have the delorean with him when marty went back so he cant have made a new one when he first went there, and it makes no sense that he would make the train time machine for the sole purpose of going forward in time to get stuff to build a new delorean just to go back three years earlier, especially seeing as at the end of BTTFIII he says hes not going to the past or future. At the end of the day its just a cool cameo

Only my girlfriend and I laughed at this scene in a theater full of 18-year-olds. I’ve never felt more like a genius.
It's so sad how Gen Z seems to have no knowledge of pop culture pre-2000. It seems like soany 19 and 20 year olds these days outright refuse to watch anything from before they were born because "It's old" and therefore they don't like it...without even seeing it.
Even worse, it seems like many of them acknowledge older films, but will never watch them, saying they want them to be remade so THEN they can watch the remake.

In the making of they said that this was Seth's Delorean.

Back to the future reference i love it
This part does make alot of sense though cause, it could be doc attempting to fix the delorean to go back to his original timeline, which is why marty isn't there and it could be before he stashed the delorean the entire time.
Easily one of the best cameos in cinema history.
This is so cool, seeing Seth MacFarlane and Christopher Lloyd in one movie, since Back to the Future was always a great deal in Family Guy, American Dad etc.!

Considering how McFarlanes character seems to have a self-awareness of the time period he is currently living in, it would have been funny if they had made it that his character was also from the future but has amnesia on when in the future he was from and how he got to the 1800s Wild-West, that would give a reason for why Doc shouts Great Scott for maybe he recognizes McFarlanes character as someone from his travels in time.
I screamed at the theaters at this part and most of the people looked at me confuse and my friend ask me why did I scream I told them "IT'S FREAKING DOC!!!"

I remember seeing this in the cinema and I felt like standing up and cheering as Back To The Future is my favourite movie series of all time. I'm surprised movie makers don't have one movie interact with another movie more and I don't just mean Sci -Fi. Forest Gump poping up in a Vietnam War movie is one idea off the top of my head. Same goes for TV shows. Also I've heard that 1,000,000 Ways To Die In The West got bad review. While it's not my favourite comedy movie of all time I thought it was FUNNY 😆😆😆
It does happen. Lt Doug Neidermeyer from Animal House got a call-out (and a reference to his being shot by his own men) in the Twilight Zone movie. Also Ralph Bellamy and Don Ameche make a cameo as their Trading Places characters in Coming to America.

They used the wrong version of the DeLorean Time Machine, the one that got sent back to 1885 via lightning strike was the 2015 upgraded version with the Mr. Fusion nuclear power generator. This DeLorean is the original 1985 version with the plutonium powered reaction chamber.

I remember going on a date and seeing this movie in the Theatre, and as soon as he said “Great Scott”, the entire theatre broke out in laughter.
Back To The Future III was set in 1885, but this movie was set in 1882.

They already did BTTF4. Telltale Games made it. Give it a try. It's the sequel you always wanted. They got Christopher Lloyd in it AND even got Michael J Fox to do a cameo role, and they got someone who can do a young MJF voice so well you'd swear they'd gone back to the 80s and had the real one record the lines back then. And it has a story that goes into Doc Brown's past and the nature of Marty's friendship with him and really it's just goddamn amazing why are you still reading this comment go get it.
Michael J Fox doesn't really do acting anymore. He maybe do a cameo but fully on acting, not likely. Consider he has Alzheimer I think?
