The only thing you need to remember to make a good casserole is mom's rule of 5. And that is: one meat, one carb, one vegetable, one soup and one cheese. Cook the meat, mix all together, bake at 350 for 30 minutes. 😊

I learned about tater tot casserole when I worked for a non-profit, which served lunch at low cost to needy people. I think I was 50 years old. I love it and use mixed vegetables and cheese. I'm from Wisconsin. We put cheese on everything.

I just hit the big 5 9. I have heard of tater tot casserole. I LOVE tater tots. I have never eaten tater tot casserole. I don’t make many casseroles. I do make things like unstuffed cabbage or unstuffed peppers. And I guess fajitas bowls and egg roll bowls are kinda casseroles.

I have never posted a comment to you before, but I've been subscribed for a while.
I wanted to tell you that I ordered everything for these casseroles at my Walmart and it was about 48.00 dollars.
Anyway, it's just my husband and I here now .
We made the Emchalda Casserole one night , and ate the left overs the next night and so on .
So, actually 48.00 is going to make us two weeks of dinners.
    I'm amazed and thrilled!
    Thank you very much!

Tator tot casserole on food rotation at our house growing up. I hated it. Then I figured out that it was the cream of mushroom soup that was the problem. Now whenever a recipe calls for cream of mushroom I use cream of celery. Problem fixed. I downloaded all the recipes and will be trying them all.

I second Swing Away - most thrift stores you can find them and they are great. Only minor complaint, my old ones that are like 15 years old, no issues (maybe a little rusty) but I bought a 2nd brand new one for our RV trailer, and the plastic/silicone cover on the handles (its just the handles that have a cover, the can opener is completely metal) slides off easily - I used crazy glue and glued them on and no issues.

I am 54 and have never had Tator Tot casserole. I had a single parent mom raising my brother and I; She was also a teacher. We had to live frugal. But my mom did not like casseroles. Neither did my kids, when they were young. Now as adults they are learning why I live frugal. Their father though as an adult he could eat what ever he wanted (kind of a king of the castle thing). He often buy his take out/junk food when we were married. My older son is currently following in his foot steps on this. He eats out or has delivery almost every day because he doesn't like cooking. My younger son learned quickly and is good with the two of us sharing the cooking responsibilities now and only eating out/take out once a week.

(Italian, pleasoning, salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder) mix pour over beef and veggies. OCD the tots on top bake for 375* for 45 mins and then smother in cheese sometime kraft slices sometimes shredded cheddar. bake until melty 5-10 mins. It's the Bestest my MIL taught me SO GOOD!

Civef with foil, bake at 375 1.5 hours. Uncover bake snother 25 minutes.

❤I’ll be making everything in this great video on “Casserole Sundays “💥 OXO can openers are the best and last forever‼️ 😊I don’t believe in “picky eaters”…this is dinner, this is what we’re having. The first time I made tater tot casserole I was in my 40s and I just wanted a way to use up leftover chili. So I put tater tots and a casserole dish added corn to my chili put it over the top and topped it with cheese… It’s on repeat now❤️✨

I grew up on Tator Tot Hotdish here in Minnesota. It was basically just like yours, except with corn added. Now I add a large can of mushrooms, and I season the tots with garlic powder and smoked paprika. So many good versions out there I’ve tried. Taco, pizza, bacon cheeseburger, sloppy Joe, and even a breakfast version. All so good and easy! Perfect for a crowd too. Great video once again, thank you! ❤️

I love my oxo brand can opener, I just happened to find in those grab bags at the thrift store. I also got a pair of titanium desk scissors in that same bag. ❤❤
Instead of enchilada sauce, I thin out salsa with broth or water. ( red, chunky, Verde, your choice) Canned enchilada sauce is never the same as homemade..

I have a can opener from QVC, and it uncrimps the lids instead of slicing them. I LOVE IT!! My cousin sliced her hands open with the ones like yours so my mom went shopping and found this one. I’ve gotten them now for all my cousins kids! It’s a Kuhn Rikon
