Many relationships end from running and growing a business. Richard not only had the stress of building his business, the massive amount of time it takes just doing that but also was filming a tv show. I don’t know any details about his relationship with his wife but I would put money on it that these are the biggest reasons why it didn’t work out with his last wife. I own a small auto repair shop and Just over a month ago my girlfriend left me with my daughter because my business takes up so much time and energy. Took me a long time working a full time job then hustling my ass off when I wasn’t working my day job I was selling and fixing cars on the side to make money and I would buy and sell things to make money all to have the cash to open my shop. I failed at my first shop because of the landlord and lost a bunch of money so it took another 4 years to save money to open a shop again. Go figure I open the shop then Covid happens lol. People don’t understand the stress and everything u have to deal with building a business. Life was much easier when I was working for someone and doing my side hustle plus I made much more money. When ur running a legit business the overhead is so fucking high you need to make so much money just to break even. When I worked as an employee I just thought man why don’t I open my own shop I’m making the owners all this money! Well I didn’t realize how much overhead there was even with just a smaller shop like mine.

Yeah buddy you're preaching to the choir I've been a small business for over 30 years or construction is a small town built my own cars fabricate and did construction raise my kids by myself. Bought lots of equipment lots of employees and I'm still the man out in the dirt .Overhead paperwork will stresses you out I know I had a stroke worrying about it and I don't drink never done drugs or smoke . but in business I wear a lot of hats you have to you can't just do one thing to make it all work I made good money but one thing I never did like gas monkey was take credit for something I didn't do or at least give credit where credit is due .The gas monkey dude isn't like that it seems like he wants all the credit and all the money and that does come at a price he never have a true friend around you when you're like that. But one thing I can say business isn't for pussies and I don't think you're a pussy keep trying if you want it bad enough you'll figure a way to make it work

Richard is all over the internet or as he says interweb I'm English so not sure if that's an American thing or Richard, I watch his Gas monkey Garage videos on his RUclips channel, in a Q &A back end of 2021 he said the show was not cancelled the contract was up and he thought it would be better to go it alone on RUclips, Discovery did want to renew it also Discovery did not ask him to make a show as he stated I tried constantly for 8 years to make a show for numerous TV channels until Discovery finally said yes and that's how fast n loud came about, in the Q & A his ex stepson was part of it and very much still works for him as does Tony and his old landlord Fips.

Why is the role of Aaron kaufmann not mentioned in this video. Aaron had the craft in getting the muscle cars done, too much credit for Rawlings, togehter with Aaron it worked, without Aaron there's not much left in the Gas Monkey business... this is hidden in this video

You just stole all the video and info off line to make this vid, and you still screwed it up, Discovery didn't approach RR to make a TV show , he pitched his car show concept to them. RR said all the TV car shows were the same , so he changed it up a little ie: showing how much money he made/lost on the vehicles that came through his shop. Do some real research next time instead of a lazy copy and paste.
