That is not a huge issue especially when you have to knock down all of the flaws and then fix it to get to clearing it all afterwards. Painters do it all the time

If he is unhappy with a paint job and is going to require it to be redone, it doesnt matter if he touched it.
Sue was dead on in her price. At my shop in Illinois I just tell someone like Richard good luck with the cheaper shop and have a good day. Then when it comes in to be corrected, I'm too busy or charge double.
Its a simple design tho
@@jojos4792 still cost as much as a crazy design though. You can buy a sheet of fabric with a simple design for the same price as a sheet of fabric with a ton of shapes and pictures and cool trippy designs on it
Hey got a question how much is a standard paint job nothing fancy say for a Chrysler 300 I believe its a 2008 just wanted to know because I have a female friend that wants her car painted but I don't want her to be taken advantage of. So if I have a idea on how much that would be on average it would be much appreciated.

I have a great plot for a future episode of gas monkey. In the episode Richard is standing under a 1967 Cadillac yelling about his money when the hydraulic lift fails and the car comes slamming down crushing Richard instantly. It will be the best gas monkey ever.

I'm local to Dallas and ASM does great work. In terms of price, I think its fair. Yes other places are cheaper and sometimes they can provide the same quality or better but it can be a risk. In my experience just pick a shop and keep using them. Thats how you get discounts and a quick turn around. She also gets an appearance fee for being on this show and she sells merch so she could give a fuck what richard pays, its a drop in the hat really

To straighten the lines use shinny clear blue fineline tape, it's made to cut the paint lines straight. Don't ever use regular tape to mask painted lines, you'll just keep on struggling.
Yup exactly and fine line tape doesn’t leave them gnarly edges either so it’s easier to cut and buff it out when done

The title is what I think when an episode starts.
It's so hard to find quality work these days. Anyone with real experience knows there is no such thing as a perfect paint job but a professional gets it really close on initial spray then will do things like sanding between coats. Nothing more important than good tape lines though! I agree with Richard.

I've met RR a few times at local shows and he is a cool guy. He was trying to get a show made about him years before Discovery went full scripted reality. He wanted to be the American Chopper of cars. The show turned him into what he is now. He is super rich but make money off of merch and appearing on shows, not flipping cars. The car flips and builds pay for the workshop and the team. He is still the RR of old tho, lowball the fuck out anything he buys and lie his ass off when it comes time to sell. Pretty standard for flippers lol

I cannot help but think that the custom car bubble will go the route of every other bubble in history and pop pretty soon if it hasn't already. Like the Chopper phase of the 2000's, the old Harley phase of the 1990's, and the van craze of the 1970's, it will pop and no one will want one. There will be a glut of vehicles no one wants.
