I work on a bookstore. We sell CDs too. Last weekend a 13 years old girl asked me if we had anything from these guys. We didn´t, but the name - "The Garden, such a great band name!" - stucked in my head and out of curiosity - "hey, I´m gettind old, what kind of music the young ones are listening today?" - I checked youtube for them. First video I choosed was this one. Unnecessary to say, my mind blew off. HARD. Fucking amazing.

What a great way to find the Garden! This is one of the first songs I heard by them too and I lost my shit when I heard this song, I had been in a serious new music rut for a year and I was just listening to the same stuff everyone else listens to but as soon as I found this band, I felt like I was finally back to my old self again 😂

It's so sad to see some ppl criticizing the garden instead of celebrating their uniqueness. They are extremely creative and are always coming up with new things and it's really sad to see ppl labeling creative individuals and their art as "weird". People please open your minds and appreciate bands and artists like the garden who are expanding the horizons for music and creating new sounds instead of copying others and just creating what sells. It's completely fine to not like them but don't label their music with demeaning adjectives because that just shows your lack of appreciation for originality. And if you want to listen to some "normal" music just turn on the radio, simple as that. Thanks Wyatt and Fletcher for your music, your uniqueness and originality truly inspires me #vadavada🎲

In all seriousness, though, you’re spot on. Complaining about casual listeners of music not appreciating the more ‘avant-garde’ (if we’re being charitable in this case) flavours of the craft is an exercise in redundancy, and one likely motivated by childish self-aggrandisement at that - if the average person found this sort of thing appealing, then it wouldn’t be ‘transgressive’ or ‘niche’ to begin with.

This song is genius, even though it may seem random. Each time I listen to it again, it gets better and better...the garden have played their cards right on this one (literally). I was very iffy with this band at first and I only liked about 3 of their songs, but i just saw them live and their energy is amazing! They know how to get the crowd going! They sounded great during every song. They’re definitely a hundred times better live!

I can see why some ppl think these two r weird- but something to add I honestly think it rlly IS meant to be weird, The Garden is js overall a really significant band; I mean the way they write their music, down to their style and whole brand in which they follow- Wyatt and Fletcher Shears are definitely onto something unique that personally I haven't seen anywhere else. The Garden is just a whole 'nother world, I believe, modern viewers are not particularly used to seeing on the internet. It might just be because of how vividly these two dudes express their minds- and they STICK into applying their ideas into their work regardless of how odd it can be- well their fucking great at it- which makes people find their character to be pretty unordinary. However, unordinary is what I think rlly describes the twins themselves and what makes them and their work actually perfect. And I think the fact they came up with the whole "vada vada" world, which personalizes being in your own fantasy, free to express your creativity and ideas in your own way, any body, shape, or form, etc, I think this band really emphasizes the whole idea of js being free to be YOU.
Really, I personally really enjoy The Garden because I can def see the amount of effort they put into their music and how damn creative they both are, ESPECIALLY the art of their mv's, all seems like a fever dream. Music videos like this kinda give off the tone that ur trippin off cough syrup or smth n u fall into this weird delusional dream- and I like it.
side note- what makes it even more amazing is that we all know these two are literally twins. talented, creative, unique n hardworking twins- making funky music together.
when u see these two live, they're actually so cool n fun, maybe their crowds arent- but they r.. lol. they complement each other so well and js bounce around everywhere n everything. like hell yeah. hope these two rlly continue what their doing, luv everything ab em.

This period between “haha” and “U Want the Scoop?” was so great. The three singles they released were so different and the whole Jester look in the videos too. Looking back after UWTS & MMSYC you can see this is where they really tried to show reinvention. Like they never wanted to repeat themselves or stick to their “sound”.
