We've had those ice cube bags in the UK for years. If you fill them right up then tip them on the side, the bit you fill it through fills with water and self seals. Fizzy never works but they make great vodka jello shots!

Totally agree, in the UK these ice cube bags are common. Trust by turning it upside down when filled and as M8chelle says it self seals. No need for any external sealing device. Also make ice cubes from flat liquid not soda.

The bag has to stay open on the ice cube bag because of expansion. Your bag expanded and had nowhere to go so the bag exploded and made that mess. Try it again without a seal.
I agree with the others...don't use anything fizzy, it will just be flat when it melts so there is no win on those.

I went to Daiso website and it says for the ice cube bags there is a non return valve inside the ice cube bags stopping the liquid from coming out when turned upside down. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Dang now I'm curious if there really is a valve stopping the liquid or what lol. Any time I put an item - liquid or otherwise, I lay inside either a cookie sheet or a cake pan (11x7; 9x9; 9x13) for that very reason. I will also lean the top of the bag against the lip of the pan, so nothing leaks out. However, if any liquid does leak, it stays inside the sheet/pan; no mess in freezer!!!

I just discovered your channel and I love it. Watching you review the ice bags was funny, 'cause those are the norm in Europe. The way to seal them is to turn them over, like 180° and the self-seal when the liquid hits the opening. The trick is to hold the opening closed with your fingers while you flip the bag and hold it.

The thing is they were made that at the top to close them up they had like their own built-in twist ties that you would knot and they never leaked. They don't seem to carry them right now so I hope then maybe in the summer they'll bring them back because they are so convenient as they lie flat so you can make a lot of ice cubes without taking up a lot of space in your freezer.

Anyway, the bags in France have a one-way pour system, so water or juice goes in but it doesn't come out. What I hated was trying to get the ice cubes to come out! I 9you basically have to cut the bag apart. I much prefer regular ice cube trays with a lid that slides on over the top to prevent spillage, plus you can stack things on top of them! Love your show!

Instead of ice bags, just pour in a cheap ice tray and when they’re frozen empty them in a plastic bag. Works great!

It is a different store from Dollar Tree. It is called Daiso. I thought she was talking about a brand not store name at first. I figured it out reading people's comments. When you hit the ... after the title of the video it tells you there too. I didn't think of that at first plus it is fun reading everyone's comments.

Vivian...any carbonated liquid expands in the freezer. Carbonation rises to the top and bubbles over. If you had tried it with juice, cool aid, etc... It probably works perfectly. You can also half fill the plastic and then when you lay it down it will distribute the fluid evenly and...voila. blessings

I am in AUS and use those ice bags all the time. Never tried fizzy drink but do put water or cordial mix in them and when you tip them upside down they are self-sealing. Just be sure to not over fill or drop them as a small hole or puncture will cause them to leak.

Hi Vivian. Those ice bags have been around, here in Canada 🇨🇦, since the 1980’s. Ours are made a lot better. They have ties at the top, so no leaking. Girl, you been missin’ out! 😁 In some of the past videos I’m like…why haven’t you seen these before. Just like the thing you closed the bag with, they’ve been around, like I said, since the ‘80’s. Any hoo, God bless and stay safe, don’t let that fungalitus get ya. ❤

The egg container fits perfectly in a camper fridge. We had one in the last camper we sold and I couldn't find another one.

I've been using those for a few months soda is a no creates to. Much pressure now they are self sealing the tiny neck funnel on the bag where you add the liquids are designed to flow one way in not out if there is any liquid in that spot it will leak out

Icing beverages causes them to expand in size. Usually helps to not fill containers/molds to top. It will allow enough remaining space for expansion.
