Two of my favorite modern era politicians. Crazy considering how much they differ ideologically. But I’d argue both are great because of their common sense, down to earth approaches yet uncanny wit. Any pedantic differences have only been shaped due to the various political allegiances each established through their lifetime. Both of them would agree with me.
Guys like Clinton, Christie and Reagan love and loved politics. They are and were comfortable in their positions - they relish being in the center of the storm, good leaders, like them or not. Obama has never looked this way, almost in pain doing the job, leading from behind.

I didn't vote for Obama either time but I respected him for being a highly intelligent man, who tried to do a lot of things that would've been good. I think the banking bailouts we’re proof that he leaned more to the status quo than the daring statesman.. He has reformed entitlements. Entitlements. That should be enough for any person to call themselves a Conservative. We don't do this in Canada, but American elections are usually broken down into racial voting blocs so I'll break it down -- this guy can win the: Hispanic vote; large sections of the black vote; and, every white person out there. He's the only guy who can beat Hilary Clinton.
