Back door regulator went out today as soon as I got home. I don't live in the best area so finding a way to get the window back up and secure for the night was essential. I appreciate you making and posting this video for everyone it was extremely helpful!
My '97 Grand Cherokee just now having this issue.. Good looking out! Making it look easy, yet was as detailed and particular as any job I've YT watched and attempted. lol.
Thanks for the video. Well detailed and clearly explained. I like the suction cup trick using tape sucks when you have to move things up and down that's really smart.
Great Job!!! I have to replace the rear window regulator on my car and usually all you see are how to replace the one on the front doors. Thanks for showing how to replace the rear one. I really appreciate it. Have a great, SAFE trip!!!
I thank you for this video. I’m in the process of changing all for of mine. The suction cups I’ll have to purchase before I start, currently I’m using screw drivers on three out of four windows.😂😂 the driver side is the only one working most times I have to pull it in place. Thanks again.
Great information. I noticed you don’t need to remove clips on new unit . Looks like you just push the lugs onto glass pins and then it clicks . Thanks for clip .
Typically the regulator is what breaks. These don’t really “fall off track” unless the clips holding the window to the regulator weren’t fully seated. That being said, you don’t. You will have to remove the panel to see. Good question!
@@GridLineGo OK yeah because when I hit the button to roll the window up or down it still makes a noise inside the door. Is that what typically happens when the regulator goes out? That's what was making me think it just might of fallen off the track. Thank you for getting back to me.
Hey can you do one on the Honduzzi? I just picked up a 97 4x4 passport and the windows need some love haha. I don't even no where to begin on a lift for it. BTW, she only has 122,000 on her and runs strong!!👍
The suction cups are genius. Would have never thought of it. Lesson for life, thank ya.
Awesome job, really like the suction cups, no residue to clean up. Thanks
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing. So few videos featuring the rear doors. Very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the video! Changed all the parts with no hassle thanks to your video
No problem 👍

How do you tell if it's the regulator or if the window fell off the track?
Dude, Thanks so much...Your video helped me so much!
Glad it helped!
Thank you for making this video! I’m going to give it ago tomorrow on the same rear window, the suction cups are a great idea! Thanks again

Thank you for the great video. Watched it once and was able to easily replace the regulator in my daughters 1999 Grand Cherokee.
Great! I'm so glad it helped 😄👍

Awesome! Thank you! I appreciate the sub! 👍
Great video. I have to do the passenger front side of my Jeep
Thanks! They’re very similar in procedure. Best of luck 👍
Excellent detailed explanation. Thanks
Thanks I have to replace mine as well, you made it look simple
Thanks! I've done a million regulators on variety of cars, so I do have a decent understanding of what I'm getting into 😄

A hero I say!
Hahaha not sure about that, but I appreciate the kind words 😄
Im only seeing the broken regulator pulled out and a fast forward of reinstalling. Really needed a step by step of that.
Thanks. I can do this!
I believe in you 😁
How do you know if its the regulator or if the window maybe just fell off the track before you take the door panel off?

@Quasar0420 yeah that sounds very characteristic of a broken regulator. Similar to what you’ll see in the video here
Anyone have any ideas where to get the yellow clips from.??? THANK YOU 😊
Amazon and general auto parts stores should have them 👍
Good video. It would be helpful if you put the year of the car in the title. GCs changed a bunch depending on the model year.
Glad I could help! I didn't know that, ill pop it in there. Thanks for the info 👍
I have the exact same issue!!
Well I hope this video helps 👍
the same exact thing happened to me on the other side, the pulley popped off the motor.
It seems to be very common on these WJs. I’ve done them all now.
what kind of retaining
clips did you buy for the panel?
I got them on Amazon. I found that the long ones work best

Hell I can’t find a rear regulator for my 98. Type in rear everyone shows front.
