- Hersheypark is the self-proclaimed sweetest place on Earth. While Hershey is most famous for their candy, the park that bears its name features 14 roller coasters, several notable non-coasters, and the Boardwalk water park. So in this video, I will rank my 15 favorite attractions at Hersheypark and list some of my favorites that have been removed over the years.

Great ranking, was not expecting Reese's cupfusion so high.
I like that ride.
It's a better game than a ride, meanwhile, Justice League might actually be the opposite! 😂
Mint the Merciless is stupid.
I went for my first time back in 2019 so Candymonium wasn't open yet. Skyrush is incredible though even if the restraints did hurt on the three rides I got on it. For me it is a top ten coaster as well.
Candymonium is probably the overall favorite for most non-enthusiasts now.
From 10 to 1
10 Hershey's Triple Tower. I like the views, and the 3 different height levels to appeal to more people.
9 Tidal Force. I love the huge wall of water and how it leaves you drenched.
8 Laff Track. This has great themeing and during spooky season, it is pitch dark.
7. Comet. This is a fun classic that I am glad is still around.
6 Candymonium. This was a good addition back in 2020. It has fun moments and I never give it enough credit.
5 Fahrenheit. This is like a Blitz coaster, mixed with a Eurofighter. The drop has great airtime.
4 Stormrunner. This was my first launched coaster. It is very fun, and the inversions give it character.
3 Great Bear. A bizarre but solid invert by B&M. I love the loud roar of the ride. The shirts also are quite good too.
Number 2 and number 1 are interchangeable for me.
Skyrush and Wildcat's Revenge. These 2 coasters are epic in their own ways. I love the violent airtime of Skyrush. Wildcat's Revenge has all kinds of fun elements, including the wave turns and inversions.
Nice list! You definitely have Candymonium lower than me.
skyrush could be so good but the restraints are extremely painful to me, and i’m average in height and weight. i hope i get a ride on it where it doesn’t hurt sometime
I'm lucky they don't bother me.
i feel like this guy is underrated cause this ranking list is very actuate
Thank you!
The Flying Falcon is a defunct ride I miss so much at HP. Kudos for having Canyon River Rapids on the list. Miss getting drenched when I go there
It was a great rapids ride.
Thanks for the review on your favorite rides helps a lot!
You're welcome.
Great ranking!!
Thanks!
@@CanobieCoaster 😀
I just went there and rode all the roller coasters (well except for Skyrush because it was closed) But I’ve ridden Skyrush in the past and it was insane. Such an awesome place.
The coaster lineup is great.
I remember going on canyon river rapids when I was a kid. It was great and always was the best way to cool off on a hot summer day.
I miss it.
My favorite is storm runner. It's the only one with a top hat.
Nice!
There were a couple of defunct rides here I dearly loved, as a kid who was not particularly a thrill-seeker: the Giant Wheel in what is now Founder's Circle (edit: I guess actually Founder's Way), and the bucket skyride (higher and longer than the still-extant Skyview). I *was* willing to ride the Coal Cracker back then, which is surprising in hindsight considering I found the Trailblazer almost too intense.
On my only visit to Hersheypark as an adult, I finally rode the sooperdooperLooper, and also Fahrenheit. Both great rides, but since I was escorting my young child for half the day, the only other coaster I got on was the Trailblazer (which she liked a lot, wasn't nearly as unnerved as I'd been as a significantly older child). On that trip we hit one more now-defunct ride: Tiny Timbers, a small kiddie flume that was replaced by Cocoa Cruiser.
I think I rode Tiny Timbers a long time ago. I loved the little flumes as a kid.
@@CanobieCoaster It didn't exist when I was a kid! Can't explain it, but for some reason big flumes were the one relatively thrilling ride I was willing to go on. Probably because a flume is 90% slow and scenic with one or two significant drops.
I think the thing I always loved about Hersheypark as a kid, aside from the Giant Wheel, was the large number of mild transportation/observation rides. *TWO* skyrides (then), the Kissing Tower, the long monorail, the Dry Gulch Railroad, the Twin Turnpikes. Most parks have some of these, especially back in those days, but Hersheypark seemed particularly rich in them--they're good for families with kids and/or seniors.
I had a Excellent time at Hersheypark this year!
Nice!
Great Bear is hands down my favorite ride of all time.
Nice!
This park actually has something for everyone, 2 B&Ms, 3 Intamins, 3 wooden coasters, a spinner, a boomerang... I want to visit this place so bad.
Absolutely.
I’m visiting for the first time in three weeks! I’m so damn excited!
Glad to see Wildcat making the list. It is probably one of the most underrated coasters in the world because people overreact to it
Coal Cracker’s pop of airtime is borderline scary… exactly the way it should be 😂
Sure is!
Wildcat's brakes increases its ranking for me. I like how it sounds like a seal.
Wildcat was my first ever rollercoaster
Hershey park is awesome
Agreed!
I need to go back, because in 2019 I was just a GP and I didn't want to ride anything too extreme. Now, I want to get the six credits I missed, but Great Bear is one of my all-time favorites! It pretty much made me an enthusiast, because right after we got home, I went to full research mode
I hope you can make it back!
First comment!! Love your videos!
Thanks!
I visited the park back in 2009. As good as the other roller coasters are the one I enjoyed the most was Lightning Racer.
Nice!
That Fahrenheit ride had me rethinking life. I've never been so shaken up getting off a ride.
It's wild!
My mom had to bribe me to go on that..back then I hated roller coasters not now tho and now me and my mom got RLY good discount tickets and she’s a single parent so after I went once I never thought I’d go again..I’m truly excited
Flying Falcon was such a cool ride
Condors are decent.
I hated roller coasters …not now tho.. and now me and my mom got RLY good discount tickets.. and she’s a single parent so after I went once ..I never thought I’d go again..I’m truly excited
Enjoy!
@@CanobieCoaster awe thanks so much ❤️
They have to make the restraints of the wild mouse better because me and my family rode in 1 cart and I sat in the seat with my dad. The restraints were not on my lap that much and I almost fell out so I was holding on for my life.
I think Wild Mouse is for sale right now.
Last time I went there was a lightning storm and lighting struck in the wave pool about 10-15 feet in front of me and my family (we were out of the pool thought)
Wow!
When I want to Hershey in may, the lightning side of lighting racers wasn’t operating
Weird!
@@CanobieCoaster it’s most likely because of short staff, the reason most rides weren’t on
My favorite is the laugh track
Nice!
I’d really enjoy seeing a tops list for SFGAm too! 😃
I plan to make one at some point.
@@CanobieCoaster yay!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
My family loves hershy park
Me too.
Skyrush at number 1 restores my faith in humanity
I love it.
I've ridden TTD and Xellerator but not Storm runner and think Storm Runner would be the best with a combination of its straight drop, inversions and relatively long layout
It's my second favorite hydraulic after Formula Rossa.
@@CanobieCoaster SWEET!
I have to say I am a little surprised Roller Soaker wasn't on the list. I guarantee you it would be on my list for sure.
That ride was just ok.
What did end up replacing the rapids ride
I think it's the wave pool and lazy river.
#1 now. Wildcat revenge,
Skyrush is still my favorite. Wildcat's Revenge is #2 for me.
Do most favourite drops
I will at some point!
Once I went in revés cup fusion and the shooters didn’t work
Oh no! Usually they work for me.
Have you ever heard something about the new restraints on the ride? They were installed in 2024.
And what do you think?
I've heard they're more comfortable.
The new restraints are better, more comfy and you can definitely feel the drop and airtime more, the laterals are a little more tame
Have you been to tweetsie railroad it’s my home park
I have not.
Where would Tidal Force go
Probably in the next 5 that missed the list.
Def great bear or storm runner
Two great ones.
No sidewinder
Nope
Is the water park and stuff the same admission?
Now granted of course this is just my opinion, however my opinion is that you cannot count something in a list if it has a separate admission. Such as most water parks have separate admissions when they're connected to theme parks. Therefore it's not the same park.
They are included with the same admission.
I’m going in three days wish me luck
Enjoy!
I had told you that Sidewinder or Jolly Rancher Remix was not in this list, why?
Hershey has many more unique rides.
I was just here a few weeks ago for Coaster Con. Skyrush is definately #1 in the park for me, Storm Runner is a slightly distant #2. The rest of the coasters make up a very good supporting cast that's honestly hard to rank. I would say Candymonium is a lower tier hyper (talking hypers from any manufacturer), I actually slightly prefer Steel Force at Dorney (an opinion I know not a lot agree with). Strong airtime? Every woodie in the park gave stronger. Intensity? The "mine train with a loop" has more. I know it sounds like I hate Candymonium from this, I don't. I think it's a strong supporting coaster and if Hershey wanted to get another hyper, the weakest hyper in PA is an excellant fit considering how intense Skyrush is to give those less into thrills a big coaster they can ride. But I'll put it this way: while you're waiting in line for Candymonium I'll get 5 rides on the far superior hyper coaster by the time you're halfway through the line.
As for non-coasters, even as someone who grew up with the chocolate world tour before the redo I think I actually prefer the redo. Almost all of the iconic practical effects were kept, with the addition of animatronic characters of the Hershey products. The older narration felt more kid oriented, the new narration feels more adult oriented but they compensate for that with the animatronics, which I think is a better balance since kids are looking at the visuals more anyways.
I prefer the updated version of 1 dark ride, unfortunately I cannot say that about the other. Xtreme Cup Challenge was so quirky you couldn't help but love it. Cupfusion feels like a cheap overlay that replaced nearly everything with screens and incredibly generic, just to be able to say you have a new ride when really you don't.
I certainly would have preferred a super tall Intamin drop tower in the style of Falcon's Fury but I do like Tripple Tower. I didn't notice much difference between the programs, Hershey's Tower was probably my favourite for that reason.
As for defunct rides, Roller Soaker was a cool concept I wish would have taken off more. You want to get coaster enthusiasts spending multiple days at your park, give us a reason to do the waterpark. A credit like Roller Soaker is perfect for that (I got that credit in 2012, before I was a coaster enthusiast. Just think if more parks had those though). As for the ride itself, it's in the upper tier of waterpark attractions I've experienced, up there with the half pipe at Six Flags America, 2 very unique attractions you can't find most places.
Another defunct water attraction that I think was incredibly underrated, Hersheypark's wettest log flume: Tiny Timbers. That little thing legit got me more wet than Coal Cracker ever has. Even though I like that it got replaced with a credit in Cocoa Cruiser (which is fairly strong for a kiddie coaster) I miss it.
Falcon was a cool ride. Although I like the tripple tower if they were going to remove it I think a windseeker or starflier would have been a better replacement, ie the spiritual successors to the Huss Condor.
Roller Soaker was cool but that ride's capacity was abysmal.
@@CanobieCoaster I agree. But the concept could have had a redesign to allow for bigger trains or a longer course to have more block zones and thus more trains on the course. The concept of a family suspended coaster that's also a water ride is a good one, I hope Vekoma ends up doing something like that as a modified version of their new generation family suspended coaster (it wouldn't include the buckets given their designs).
Sidewinder or Jolly Rancher Remix was not in this list
Correct
Rip wild cat
I can't wait for the RMC.
no i305 is the most intense
Both I305 and Skyrush are crazy.
Do u hate the restraints on skyrush?
I don't mind them if I get a break in between rides.
@@CanobieCoaster OK good to know for when I go, even tho I live in australia so that is hard. Any techniques to not have them hurt my thighs?
8:35 Are you serious? It's in your top 10 overall???
Top 10 steel; I love the intensity.
@@CanobieCoaster I would be super happy if it reaches your top 10 overall, like you said it was in the vid. So to have the best ride on Skyrush, ride in the inside seats in the back row. The restraints won't act as painful as the wing seats, and the airtime will be much stronger. So when Skyrush opens once again, that's what you should do. It's just a request, and I'm trying to do it nicely, if you can get out there...
I305 is more intense
Both are crazy in their own way.
@@CanobieCoaster yeag
SKYRUSH AT #1?!?!??!?!?!??!?!??!??!?! You must be some fruitcake if you have Skyrush at #1 the way it "tries to separate your legs from your torso" to put it lightly. The fact that CANDY MONIUM IS ABOVE Stormrunner at #3 is just downright painful to even hear. Candy Monium is a "roller coaster" you take your grandmother on, it is that boring with a horrible layout. I thought the Knobels one was bad, and then I come here and look at this. Absolutely unbelievable.
Sorry, but I love the intensity of Skyrush. Everyone will rank things differently.
