One interesting fact about Bush Sr. is that while in the Navy during WW2, the Torpedo Bomber he was serving in was shot down by the Japanese, who eventually captured them the entire crew. The captors decided to cannibalize everyone except for one and let him go. That one who was let go was Bush Sr.
