    Very well done, I appreciate this video. I have never removed that dash piece before, but seeing you do it has given me some ideas for switch and light locations. Thanks.

    Oh man, if you ever install the Apple CarPlay module you are in for a treat 😂 . This P3 module looks great 👍🏻

      Thanks! And yea I do want to get CarPlay working eventually, and I heard it's pretty time consuming. Have you done it? If so share the pain 😂

      @@DrivenDistrict yeah bro, I did it maybe 4 weeks after getting the car last year. It’s pretty much taking apart what you did to install the P3 + the whole center console from back to front (no joke) + A pillar + a bit on the door sill. I think it took me 3 hours in total but totally worth it.

      The AA/CP upgrade trim removal procedure is the "proper" way to get the cluster trim off, but this way works too. If you noticed that tab between the vent and emergency flashers, that tab is what a lot of people trim off in order to make the removal of the cluster trim faster and easier.

    if you have gfb valve , open exsaust valve, bigger turbo, have this guage is a must.

    Great video... my thoughts initially (for me) this would be more distracting then the analog one - and living on the surface of the sun in AZ, I couldn’t delete a vent 😂😂😂

    • @DrivenDistrict
      @DrivenDistrict  3 года назад +1

      Thanks! Luckily this doesn't actually delete the vent 😁One of the things I love bout P3 Gauges is that it keeps the vent functionality (just can't move the direction).

    I don't understand this product! If is using obd2 why it needs pressure sensor and why to install pressure sensor inside the car ? also the installation ... it's nice that is installed on vent place but i'm sure that 8 of 10 people will crack the plastic cover during installation . There are other ways to have boost pressure reading without taking unnecessary risks. Almost forgot ! 359$ ON SALE :)!!!!

    • @DrivenDistrict
      @DrivenDistrict  3 года назад

      When reading boost through the OBD2 port on the 124 Spider it is limited to reading around 22-23psi and on a tuned car we run over that amount. On other cars you can just use the OBD2 port to read boost and all other parameters on the P3 Gauge, but on the 124 Spider you need to tap for boost and therefore need the "analog boost sensor" to properly read and transmit that data to the gauge. All other parameters are pulled in through the OBD2 port.
      P3 Gauge offers the option for them to pre-install the gauge in the vent (that is what I did). So I just had to swap out the entire vent as seen in this video.
      I got this gauge because I had one before in my supercharged M3 and I the look and features of it. I like the way it doesn't clutter the dash, the vent is still functional, and it's a multi function gauge so I can also cycle through and see things like air fuel ratio, intake air temps, exhaust gas temps, 0-60mph times, clear codes, and more.
      Of course if you ONLY want a boost gauge, then yes there are plenty of other options. A very popular one for the 124 Spider is the Vaitrix Boost Gauge that Eurocompulsion sells which plugs into a sensor under the hood. Or any other boost gauge that you then might need to tap for boost.
      Hope that helps!

      @@DrivenDistrict First of all thank you for the video .Good to know and see how to do this procedure! About the other issues i don't want to argue but some arguments not fits.The pressure reading is not limited .The limit is on sensors range. In our case the stock map sensor and boost are 11-306 Kpa(43 psi) on 124 abarth and 500 too ,so i don't see why i will not be able to read more than 23psi . Anyway also for a tuned abarth till stage 2 no problem and if you have a press boost greater than 30 psi then you will upgrade the sensors too and for sure the ecu will be remapped .
      I can agree with you in case of having a tune box . In this case the real boost will not be the same as read by ecu.And after all remain the price issue .An universal obd 2 gauge is 100$ max .Wish you luck !
      THX FOR THE VIDEO.

    Great install! I check every day for that EC Race intercooler to come back into stock, so I can't wait for that install! Are you interested in installing the 2019+ miata telescoping steering column? I have midget arms and I really need to install it on my 2018 Abarth. That and the Carplay upgrade...

    • @DrivenDistrict
      @DrivenDistrict  3 года назад

      Lol driving position is fine with me so probably won't do that. I definitely want to do CarPlay eventually...heard it's a pretty time consuming job. The intercooler should be going on next week (I have a quick unboxing video which i'll put live tomorrow). Gonna have a local shop install the intercooler but i'll ask them how it went and update people on the install.
      And yea the intercooler sold out the day I was gonna order so I told them the second they have one ready to ship to let me know. They said they had one ready but it's 1 red hose and 1 black, i'm like that's fine I don't care 😂so paid for that and some other parts and now just waiting on the 4c coil packs as those are still out of stock.

      @@DrivenDistrict the intercooler sold out the same day I was going to order, too. I also called them and to let me know as soon as they get one in stock. The differing hoses will make your install unique lol

    Why do you have the sport switch in a manual?

    • @DrivenDistrict
      @DrivenDistrict  7 месяцев назад

      Manual or automatic is irrelevant to having a sports button. Many cars (both auto or manual) have them these days. In most cars it increase throttle response, tighter steering, etc; some changes exhaust note, suspension feel and more.

    If 124 Spider has heated steering wheel then I am more willing to give away one air vent ^_^

    • @DrivenDistrict
      @DrivenDistrict  3 года назад

      The P3 gauge does not take away the vent functionality :) That's one of the main reasons why I love these gauges (besides all the extra features they have). You can not move it up/down/left/right, but it still works for heat/air etc. I have a quick unboxing video here if you want to see the gauge up close and you'll see how it looks and how the air will still pass through: ruclips.net/video/t01uoi9T7Zs/видео.html
