- Jason and Greta still have a lot to say after the finale. In this episode, they discuss what they think could happen to Rhaenyra and Alicent’s relationship, their favorite characters, and negroni sbagliatos. Plus, they reflect on how the show was created behind the scenes as depicted in “The House that Dragons Built” docu-series on HBO Max.
Huge applause for everyone involved in the show: screenwriters, actors, costume designers, vfx guys, literally everyone did an amazing job 👏 👏 👏
Hopefully production will go smoothly and we can have season 2 early 2024.
I’m pretty sure we’re probably going to get it late 2024 because I heard in this podcast filming for season 1 took around 10 months, so I’m pretty sure we’re going to get it later that year😊
Wish they started filming already 😩
If they were able to film s1 during the pandemic the advantage for s2 is they'll already have a plan in place. Hoping it's "only" 12-18 months until s2 is released and not 2+ years.
omg 2024? I’ll probably have arthritis towards the end of HOTD. They could’ve filmed for s2 at least while filming s1 so that we can watch it at the end of next year.
@@lightning8820 the series wasn't greenlit for a second season until the first episode already was released on HBO. So they couldn't have
May we invite Aemond's actor Ewan to the podcast at some point? He just did an inane job.
None of this would have Taken place if Viserys would have made Rhaenyra Co- Rule with him until he Died‼
I love this show.
I don't want to wait 2 years
It's 1 year and like 5 months .
If that makes you feel any better
@@eriksanchez7286 that makes me feel way better
its gonna be fucking amazing though
When will Emma be in the podcast?
So I'm not the only one who thinks after TEN YEEEEAAARRRS maybe Viserys *could* have named Daemon his Hand ... bc it's certainly not like Daemon wasn't right about Otto
Absolutely he should have been hand he's doing very well ruling with rhaynera he may have a temper but this world makes it necessary had daemon been hand I have no doubt ser Otto would not have been able to usurp the throne to aegon
Absolutely!
Let the games begin, This War is gonna destroy Westeros
Daemon's face at the dinner was PRICELESS. I loved it. He's a fantastic character, and Matt Smith is a powerhouse.
For anyone who's interested. Milly Alcock, the episode 1-5 Rhaenyra has acted in another show called upright and I love it, it has unfortunately flown under the radar but if you're interested, please give it a watch. I want to get the message out before she is forgotten because Emma D'arcy does such a good job as well.
Thank you for continuing this. I am so sad season 1 is over.
I really don't care if the show just gets released in 2024. They can have all the time in the world if it's the necessary time to deliver to us a legendary season 2. This season was incredible and i'm very excited for more. I love this podcast. You guys rock!
awesome convo, particularly loved the analysis on daemon and his true needs and motivations. absolutely spot on! (and yes, -almost All- KG AB)
Jason is the man, hope this can be a video pod next year
God I loved this show so much and now we have to wait for the next season. It's bittersweet
Stoked we're getting bi-weely podcasts! Love the content guys. I'm happy they're still writing s2 now and planning on filming next summer. I'm anticipating an epic upcoming season. We cannot have too many dragons!!🐉
With the success of the show, and the fan love for characters like Harwin, Leanor, and Leana, is there any chance of getting some flashbacks to these characters from Season 1? the remainder of this story is pretty much unrelenting horror, battle after battle, death after death. That can get really exhausting for an audience. I would love to see appropriately placed flashbacks to happier times for instance Jace's birth with Milly playing Rhaeneara and Ryan as Harwin and John McMillan as Laenor. I know it's not that easy to bring actors back to the show for just a few scenes but it would be worth it.
Good show, see you in two years.
As soon as this man said Rhaenys I am like perfect. She is poised thoughtful and genuinely good at heart.
And she killed so many people in the dragonpit but nobody cares. Even in the script.
The intro ❤ stunnin’
“Crime Committing Cloak” is hilarious..😂
Last time we saw Daemon in his cloak I said, "ah shit he's about to do something bad" lol. I hope they keep his crime commiting cloak-ness up 🤣
@@HB-ey2dk That’s a fact.. 😂
I hope however long it takes, they allow as much time and attention as necessary to get the story, production and cinematography, (CG, effects, etc.) as close to perfect as possible, before finally releasing it to the world!
However long that takes.
As long as whatever length of time ends up being worth it.
I'm happy. ✌️
We want season 2 !!!!!!! 😤🤙
The opening omg
I feel like Larys Strong is a nice parallel to what Tyrion Lannister was in ASOIAF, or rather a glimpse of what Tyrion could've been if he let his humanity go.
Série maravilhosa 👏👏👏
The whole Dance of the Dragon was Visery's fault! he was a weak king who surrounded himself with many vipers over his own family and blood who was blind to see the truth which led to the demise of his own house.
This 1st season has created so many conflicts within me by each of these characters lol. Sometimes you see their good side and they do things or say things that makes you like them as a character, but then they turn around in the very next episode and do something sooo appalling 🙄🤣 This was an amazing 1st season 👏🏼
These guys are great.
I want season 2 now, but dont mind waiting a bit if they do a perfect job
How Can human make amazing & epic stories like GOT...im really excited for seoson 2
Now we just have to wait 2 years for season 2...
WE NEED THAT DAEMON SONG TO BE RELEASE FULL VERSION! RECORDED IN STUDIO! PLEASE 🙏
I really agree that the series would have benefitted from a Tyrion. After all, what was Tyrion in GoT, if not a narrator/tour guide for the audience? Knowledgeable, learned and witty, so you always paid attention to what he was saying; not just an insider, but also an outsider (like the audience themselves). A GoT virgin watching HOtD would have had to do a lot of work for themselves.
FIRE & BLOOD!!
^^Team Black^^ - you can have sympathy for/empathy with Alicent without supporting the Greens; she's been a victim all along, having pretty much no choice in anything, because everything about her life has been presented to her as her 'duty', which - even now, at the end of the season - she's trying to do, and all the time we've seen what it's cost her as a person, as a woman, and as a mother. Around her others are playing the Game of Thrones; Loras Strong, Tyland Lannister and, of course, her father. You _could_ argue that Otto has only the good of the realm at heart, that he's right to plan against Rhaenyra's accession given the patriarchal society they live in, but _as TV drama_ you have to acknowledge that the marvellous Rhys Ifans doesn't seem to be playing Otto as a noble-minded individual, but rather as a manipulative, sometimes creepy, dangerously ambitious man. I really don't think Ryan and Miguel have presented the audience with any other options, so far, than to be anything but Rhaenyra supporters; that final frame of her fury in e10, so reminiscent of how Daenerys reacted to Missandei's death (the straw that broke *that* camel's back) was a total "go get 'em, girl" moment. She is my Queen.
Really liking the podcast!
Two things:
It’s pronounced ET cetera.
ET cetera.
Not ECK cetera.
You can do this, Jason.
The nervous giggling can be too much. Sometimes it even feels in poor taste, badly timed.
Not that any of this matters, but it almost feels like the mileage may vary comment should be cited to Alt Shift X.
Beyond these trivial concerns, y’all are killing it. Keep up the good work!
HOTD FANS Like here💛.....
Daemon does have *some* (perhaps residual) desire for the throne: there's that long moment when Erryk Cargyll hands him the crown. Daemon looks long - longingly? - at the Targaryen sigil on it, and although he may be feeling the loss of his brother, there was a very real sense that he might be thinking "I could just put it on my own head right here and now"
I enjoyed Season 1. I give it a pretty good rating minus a couple things here and there obv. Started a little slow. But had me invested around Ep 4. Really good episode. Ep 5 hooked me in completely. It's the turning point of the season. Ep 8 & Ep 7 are the two best respectively. 8 was peak GoT. 7 was very Shakespearean. Ep 9 to me is the most underrated cause it's a "You Win or You Die" political intrigue episode marred by three mins of a "Beyond the Wall" ending. Ep 3 to me is the most overrated cause ppl loved it too much for it basically being a MCU movie feat. King of the Sigmas and Crabfeeders. 1=mid, 2=decent, 3=overrated, 4=very good, 5=excellent, 6=good, 7=2nd best, 8=best, 9=underrated, 10=very good.
. Favorite character : I’d assume most ppl’s favorite is gonna be Daemon and Rhaenyra. Aemond probably a close 3rd. But the two most improved characters from Fire & Blood are Viserys and Alicent.
This commentary on the organizational efficacy of the Kingsguard is cracking me
cracking me UP 😁😄😂
"We need more knights" 😂😂😂
Team Black!!!
Seems like its worth watching i wonder if its a good show..
it is do it!!
GOT!!!!!
I think the penaltimate scene where Luke went to stormland, that scene could have been better where the baratheon girls mocks aemond which triggered him to go after Luke in book. But the showrunner just skipped that scene which could hv been more convincing .
Someone should have oinked...
God's if we gotta wait 2 winters for the next season they bloody better film more than 1 this time
🎃🎃🎃😊🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎉😊🎃🎃🎃
I wonder. Does Haelena know what she’s saying?
Waiting 3 more seasons I will be old 🤡
One mistake King Viserys did was he didn’t put in legal bind the oath of the houses to Rhaenera. All their oaths were done verbally though it was already an official proclamation but that’s why Otto and his green supporters were able to get away with it. If it was written with his seal and signed by the nobles, it can’t be disregarded but for all to see unless one like Cersie who tore the signed last will and testament of King Robert in GOT who proclaimed Ned Stark as protector of the realm after his death
Why 2 years??? Whyy??
They werent sure it was gonna be a hit thats why
Sounds like they haven't even finished writing it. So they have to write and shoot it all still 😭
@@HB-ey2dk they dont even start filming till may 2023 😭😭
They just started writing the scripts after knowing season 2 is a go. They should have started writing a couple of episodes right after the filming finished in case a second season is okayed so that when it’s finally ok, they can continue the remaining episodes too. They only need 10 episodes after all…then it goes to editing, story board, logistics and casting aside from budget productions..
CGI and post-production, for starters
🌹❤️🔥
I’m trusting the writers, but I would like both Alicent and Rhaenerya to be a little more forceful and ruthless. Daemon will always be my fav. I want people scared of him, wondering what he’ll do
But if I have to hear the word patriarchy in Season 2 I’m going to scream, stop with the victim stuff
Team black as always 🖤
Is anyone in Westeros not a murderer? Rhaenys just murdered about 1000 people and everyone is Slay Queen. Corlys abandoned his wife for 6 years. Rhaenerya was complicit in killing the servant to let Laenor get away. Alicent is complicit in Lary’s behaviour. Larys orders all those killings at Harrenhal
They are all royalty in a brutal period of medieval history, of course they are all evil
Okay, so you are also a murderer, since you have killed also at least one ant in your life. Welcome to the club ;)
WTF 2 YEARS
Hello
We need jon snow
A slice of life spin off following the kids,Jace,Luke,Aemond and Aegon
Stonini
You will not talk about the fandom anger with sara hess and about what the writers did in episode 10?
youre telling me these people havent read the books and dont know what happens to every character?? give me a break
Please get George R.R. Martin on
😂
This podcast would be even better if they didn’t do these things for social justice warrior lenses
M i l k the dragon
😳
Hindi India launguage me banao
12:20 i cant stand Alicent. she's playing the kind of character that'l lcause you to hate her even when she goes on to play a different role in a different show/movie lol. like ,She'll always be Alicent to me
Daemon was in "control" of Aemond's dragon... that is what he was singing to it. Some sort of conjuring tune. Probably a song that was sung by previous master or a dragon lullaby that allows for the dragon to be under his persuasion or act independently to its own impulses. Or Rhaenyra's dragon. Meaning the conflict in the sky was of no mistake, it was planned. Which leads me to think maybe Rhaenyra sent her own child to his death since she excused Daemons absence from lord Corlys 'there were other concerns which demanded the princes attention'... are we saying she was not aware what demanded his attention and what his intentions were?
huh? no.
Daemon was singing to another dragon, a wild dragon called Vermithor that lives in the caves on Dragonstone. It might look a bit like Aemond’s dragon, but they are different.
@@Umbra451 not actually a wild dragon since Vermithor was Daemon’s grandfather’s dragon. He became riderless for 30 years after the King Jehaerys died
@@El_.5794 If he’s been riderless in a cave for 30 years, he’s wild
@@Umbra451 I could say semi wild since he’s been housed in Dragon mount being fed by trainers unlike other dragons living in the mountains who fish and hunt on their own without any human contact.
Rhaenyra is a terrible leader. She consistently makes the wrong choices and puts the realm in danger. Team Green is the right choice because Aemond is the best character.
Huh
Wtf 😂
Team Green forever. I have read the books
Haha, Aemond is a great character but he is twisted and insane
@@Major98 he was bullied and had his eye taken from one of his bullies after he finally got his own dragon. He completely deserves vengeance
