I'm glad I never gave up, my favourite game 🙂
I bought this game in 2016, I had an old PC that hopefully ran the game at 30 fps but I loved it, over time I got a new PC and when I wanted to try post scriptum again and I realized that there were no longer people playing it I felt very sad, I hope this game sees the light again

Either it's been two unannounced patches or you lie. There were no updates. Not yet.

I've always been of the mind that both hell let loose and post scriptum should be enjoyed by the same player base rather than people choosing one or the other. Of course, some people may truly prefer one versus the other, but overall they are both excellent games and a nice change of pace from one another. So why not enjoy both?
The fact that I’ve already had a good 8 games in full servers in the last couple of days compared to the maybe 1 in the last year says something

I recently got into Forgotten Hope 2 and it has some of the best, most cinematic and authentic ww2 maps I have ever seen in any game. Especially the normandy maps look and feel great and the whole game has so much attention to detail. Highly recommended. Play EU servers on peak times (6pm-10pm) and earlier on the weekends.
Been putting in the work playing and teaching now players. We're back baby.
I think the sale helped a lot. Saw it was under 10 on my wishlist with the Fall sale. Saw people player numbers were on the rise so I gave it a go. Boy a I glad I did. So refreshing playing this over Hell Let Loose imo. The pacing in Hell Let Loose feels like a meatgrinder death run. But this game actually lets you breath a little in between combat unlike HLL. Also unlike HLL you can actually enter the majority of the buildings. Lol.
Love the pacing in this game and design of this game. I also may be biased cause I prefer Squad over HLL lol
Very good to see this coming back. I picked up Post Scriptum long ago to play with a Friend and i gotta say i am looking forward to it.
I hope they dont add a "Infantry Overhaul" like in Squad.

I just switched from hell let loose to post scriptum and I have enjoyed post scriptum so much morr
Some of those server owners on Rs2 can be dicks. In these certain and very few and far between encounters, they do more harm than good for the community.
Ive seen a popular server owner and/or admin disable the lockdown timer after the team that I was playing on defended excellently and valiantly. The teamwork was on point, that battle took us near to the last man. It was then we noticed the lockdown timer that we were counting for winning the defense map disappeared and was past due. We should have won as the time certainly had run out. We called the admin/owner out on it and he proceeded to kick and ban many of the players simply for acknowledging his misdeeds. In the end, he killed the server himself! The irony im sure was lost between keystrokes.
The admin/owner's lousy justification for cheating was ' to keep the server alive'. He feared us winning a match, after a string of defeats on our part mind you, would kill the server. Absolutely ridiculous. While that is understandable and it it his/their server, its unsportsmanlike and down right wrong. Friend of mine is still banned from that server and due to low server numbers it's effectively limited his ability to play the game.
I like that games can rent out private servers but these companies need to do better regarding hosting enough public servers to meet demand.
I think the graphics are good but the houses need more detail inside instead of empty rooms.
Im fine with no furniture when every house is useable

Honestly, if it was feasible, a console port for this game would help bring it back to full potential.
I do have a feeling that the Pacific theatre might be added in the future 🤔
Some of my best moments in gaming was playing PS and i do enjoy it more than HLL.
Sound on back ground makes me cry 😅
What I hate about this game mainly is that the community hates simple and short communication with micro management. I am a hard core strategist, and this is a huge problem I face, nobody is willing to actually listen to somebody micro managing divisions on a battalion level, people get overwhelmed by heavy communication and this is a big issue, well not for me but it is for a lot of people and I feel like the developers should add the squad channel on the right ear and the command channel on the left ear. But other than being a micro management and strategy enthusiast, the game is hella fun, but I hope the community is willing to teach and guide the newcomers otherwise the game will die again the second time !!

So I was just introduced to HLL a few months back and PS peaks my interest in the WWII hardcore milsim genre. What are the pros and cons of merging to PS from HLL?
Pros - PS has more satisfying victories, more immersive gameplay, better effects, more realistic armor, lots of support vehicles, less choppy and static-feeling gunplay. Cons - PS has worse graphics and performance, a few more bugs and instabilities, sometimes very long matches, a couple quirks like the canteen to get used to. PS deserves new players right now and will likely get those hitches patched up since OWI has their attention on it, so i'd say give it a try!
Post Scriptum is amazing. Forgotten Hope 2 is a great game as well. But I feel that Darkest Hour: Europe '44 - '45 is way better for immersion and gameplay.
I'm all for Infantry Overhaul in Post Scriptum. The weapons are waaay too deadly in this game. You should not be able to hit 200-300m shots with 6kg rifle standing right after running 3km

Me personally, I play a lot of HLL. Like a lot. Mainly because I picked that up quicker than PS, but since it was reacquired by OWI I've been playing PS more than HLL. I love both games. I feel like HLL is the battlefield version of PS, but still better than the actual Battlefield franchise lol.
I feel like the only way to make Hell let loose players come to post scriptum would be to get better graphics

A lot of HLL players are on console. Including me. If they give it a console port. I would almost completely abandon HLL.
First they got to optimize their game first and fix major bugs
To be honest, on the "Infantry Combat Overhaul" topic as it pertains to Post Scriptum, the game already had some crazy suppression mechanics. Flinching and vignetting is brutal on PS. And that was before the Squad ICO was ever on the public's mind. I think current Squad players trying out Post Scriptum's old version of the engine now might help bring balance to Squad.
I also don't think Post Scriptum will last much longer. OWI has made a decent amount of money from making simulators/trainers for current military vehicles over the years. Those trainers becoming more feature complete only propped up Squad's development, and vice versa. I don't think you could say the same for Post Scriptum's century old technology.
Yeah, as much as I loved PS. It's not back and is going to die just like Beyond The Wire did.
nah, unlike beyond the wire post has a dedicated community, and the dev team will lead to at least 1-2 full servers no matter what

I'm enjoying my first couple days, still just around 10 hrs... But it is pretty hard to see enemies 😅at least for me.
I played this years ago when it came out, gave up after 6 months or so and fully moved over to HLL. I tried this game again last night... It's worse than I remember! The only thing that I enjoy from it is the armour choices and a few of the weapons such as the mortars. The ability to adjust sighting range on guns is also something i wish HLL would implement. Post Scriptum has always felt unfinished to me and one of the only games that gives me a headache due to the graphics. It also manages to get terrible framerates (5600x, rtx3070) whilst looking like a 15 year old title.
I wish we get the ICO on PS also
Beyond the Wire is amazing when its 50v50 fighting for ONE point. the 12 points at once mode is not near as fun...

I hope this will revive the game into something interesting. I played a bit of ps but It’s just not for me at the moment I guess. Very slow gameplay, nothing like the trailer. 99% you walk drink walk and get killed after 10 min walking. Have no idea what’s going on in the match. Hell let loose has the atmosphere, the graphics, this just looks cartoonish and empty, like a paintball set with fake houses and surroundings. On top of that the interface and gameplay is much more intuitive in hll. Wish they would make something good out all of this.
How are the Australian servers? I've been playing HLL since RS2 died, and I was a diehard Forgotten Hope 1/2 fan, and I prefer that kind of gameplay.
at the moment its at least 1 full server, potentially 2 on the right day. Just feels good playing the game with normal ping for once

i dont think its infantry overhaul the people dont want, but the emotes and shit, if they needed to make money with an already launched game and now they buy this other one i expect they'll "need" to make money with this one too

I just got this game and was quite let down. Just doesn't even come close to HLL. Maybe in a year it will start competing with it.

I hope they don't gut the fuck out of the combat system like they did in squad. I played squad for 2k hours and can't even touch it anymore because it feels so different. Feels like I lost a friend. A shame, really
