  • Unlock the Amazing Power of Check Layers to Precisely Match Color while Making Composites in Photoshop! Whether you are into photo manipulation or simply changing backgrounds, Check Layers allow you to accurately blend the images by matching the color, saturation, and lighting, by looking at the different parameters of the image separately.
In this tutorial, we will learn how to use Curves, Hue/Saturation, Gradient Maps, and several other Adjustment Layers to match the elements of a composite. We will also learn how to create realistic shadows to go with the light.
Hope this tutorial helps. Thank you for watching :)

Over 20 years working on photo programs like Photoshop and Paintshop Pro and this is by far the best composition tutorial I've ever seen. Being self-taught, I don't know how I ever would have learned this on my own. This is so far beyond the crappy techniques I've picked up over the years.

I always watch your video everyday and it really helps me a lot. It really takes time to master everything specially with the color blending. Thanks for being a teacher and a guide to everyone.

I know there were a lot of judgment changes in this video but I want to thank you for that. I never knew what a good photo was till I started on my path with PS. You have got an amazing eye and watching you work and your thought processes really helps in establishing how something should look. A big tip was to make the picture small and see how the adjustment looks over the whole picture. This alone shows a person if their editing comes off as looking fake or not. Many people over do the process to make everything in the picture look spectacular. A picture done this way just looks too confusing and crowded! Thank you again for all you do!
