As an original array 2 owner, here is what I think. The lowest setting of the red light is three times too bright for dead dark operations. I put electrical tape on the motion sensor after day 2. It kept changing brightness and mode while I was working on equipment. The rear facing red lights are too dim to be useful and you cannot disable them. I can use the button just fine. Also, the array is not manufactured by Olight, It's a separate product branded by Olight. The battery life is great. The selectable flood/spot is fantastic for mechanic work and field work. Delete the sensor, make the rear lights brighter and selectable, dim the front red light by half, and I'll buy three.
You can disable the sensor, at least on the new pro.
Love the red light feature on the Array 2 Pro. The runtimes on the Perun 2 are excellent for long trips in the woods!
I wish they continued making the original Array, I just need a simple but bright headtorch.
I’ve been very happy with every light I’ve purchased. I own many different models and have also gifted many different models to family and friends.
I plan to add an olight head lamp to my collection.
Great video demonstration Olight Johnson. I love both lights. I own the Array 2S and plan on getting the Pro next. I love using my Array 2S everyday. I love the New Blue Perun and I also own one. Both have great features and are great edc or when needed flashlight. Thanks again my friend.
I have both, my array 2 is my primary head light. Love it. The perun I use to clip on my jacket or what ever as a forward light. Love them both.
The Array 2 is an awesome light
Can the battery on the array to be changed at the factory or do you just dispose of it when the battery goes out?
Womderfull
Are any of them internal safe from ignition of gas or vapor
Here’s my illogical take. First off it’s based on potentially flawed information. Please correct me if I’m wrong. That said, my understanding is that the Array lights while branded Olight, are manufactured by a different company. While the Perun is a true Olight. I’m going Perun 2 all day, or night rather.😜
Stop putting proximity sensors on your lights. It kills the batteries when not in use!
I have the Array 2 and the Perun 2 both in orange. Ill be giving the array 2 to my daughter for xmas. I HATE the motion sensing feature. It often changes on its own just because you decided to adjust the light or get too close to something as your moving and the battery doesnt last long. The perun 2 is better in that it lasts much longer, no stupid motion sensing shit, and easier controls. I ended up ordering a Fenix HM70R. It is my new favorite headlamp. Same features as array 2 but with bigger battery and no awkward external battery pack., better controls imo. Sorry Olight! Maybe ill pick up a warrior x turbio to make up for it. We'll see how the acebeam l19 2.0 I ordered turns out.
That fenix looks great, how did you like it?
@@mervyn2316 best headlamp I've ever owned. It has a spot in my edc bag. Love the high cri flood light. I recommend it to loved ones.
👍🏻
If yall put a 4000k Nichia in an 18650 Perun and added a red light people would lose their sh!t. I'd buy a dozen. I assume the lights in this video are actually cooler white but the whitebalance in your camera was set to auto?
Wtf is with the built in batteries lately? No thanks!
Yeah...having the ability to have backup batteries for the array would be ideal.
Still partial to the Plain array 2. Just light no funny business. On my hard hat for a while now.
The motion feature is a bit gimmicky...but it does come in handy and works quite well
Is the battery removable?
