I’ve been indecisive for months about starting mine and stressed about getting the money for it, this video has definitely convinced me that I can do it myself. I loved how you actually show us and provide valuable information for beginners. Just placed my order for tools and products. I’m nervous but excited!
I had locs for three years combed them out and now want to do the micro loc . And I want mines exactly like yours they are not to small not to big . I am going to do my best following your method wish me luck☺️
Yes two points rotation is quite easy to do. The only time I find myself doing 3 point rotation is when I have much hair growth to interlock.. your locs are beautiful 🤍
I have a question! Why do you start with your hair blown out? I am about to start my microlocs this week, it'll be my second set of locs! I'm excited and your video was by far one of the most helpful! I don't really want to do a grid and this process is very similar to how I started my last set of locs!
My best advice to you is to let your hair be as dry as possible and don't manipulate it so much. You'll see maximum growth when youjust leave your love alone and let them be. I know it's hard cause but you'll love the results. Btw they look so beautiful!
@@shatavias. Yes wet it every day with whatever kind of water works for you and let your hair completely dry afterward. I locked mine and my daughter's hair. I have 3c hair texture and my daughter is 4c. I only put oil on our scalps until our locks formed. Then I started putting a little oil on my locs. Low manipulation grew and my daughter's hair fast too. Try it for a year. See if it works for you.
@@shatavias. No it’s okay. No need to apologize. I started wetting them as soon as I got them. In the beginning when I wanted to wet my hair but was afraid that the twist would come out, I put a wig cap on and drenched my hair. Then would just let it dry. After a month I saw them start to get nappy so then I just sprayed my hair with water from a spray bottle.
Gutl I’ve binged watched all your vids!! Thank you for posting! Question though…what made you decide to do the two point rotation? I think deciding which rotation to do, is what has me stumped lol
thank you so much for being here and for supporting my journey, it truly means a lot!! i decided on a two point rotation because i wanted more volume over uniformity with my locs. also, since i don't have a finer texture of hair i didn't need as much structure that the 4 point rotation gives. also, don't overthink it. even if you start out doing a 2 point you can switch it up and try out the 4 point the next time around. you got this queen!!

Hey how many locs do you have? I tried to find your older video of loc count. I want to combine some of mine that was just way too small my count is 250 but I’m thinking I want the 200 range to help with easier reties but hoping it’ll still look fuller
I watched your part one Thank you for sharing but I want to know how long the starter locs took before you interlocked them. I want to start with two strand twist but I don't know the period it will take before I start interlocking
thank you for watching! it took me about 2 days to install my two strand twist and i began interlocking the day after i finished installing. you can wait if you want to be sure the twists are the size you want but i was satisfied and went ahead and interlocked
i’d say it depends. if you’re willing to learn about maintenance then you could start them yourself. bc even with going to a loctician you’ll have to learn how to maintain them in between your appointments. maybe you could get a loctician to start them and maintain them yourself. i am still learning about maintaining my locs because i knew very little before starting.
@@queentyquana thank you sooo much! I felt as though I should at least let a professional do installation, and maybe take an online course on loc care. I will be waiting for your next videos! Great content!

hi, no problem at all! my scalp was a little tight but not to a point of pain. it’s just felt like i’d just gotten my hair done. but also i learned that i don’t have to retie as tight to get the perfect retie.
doesn’t sound silly at all. yes you can, you don’t have to interlock the roots right away. you can wait and get a feel for your twists before you commit
this is all of my natural hair, no extensions. the amount of times i interlocked depended on how much space i had at the root, there was no set number. i interlocked until i was as close to my scalp as possible without it being super tight

hi sis, i have 260 loc babies
@@queentyquana thank you beautiful! I hope your pregnancy is going well❤️
i have a question. after doing the two strand twist method for these locs, do you have to interlock your hair or is it just an option?
it’s just an option. i interlocked my locs immediately after installing them but some don’t until it’s time to maintain them

heyyy! so I see you said you tried to end on a down point for each loc? What happens if you don’t will it mess up the loc?
if you interlock through the same direction 2x you’ll create a hole in your loc. so as long as you aren’t doing that you’re good
I’ll come back to this as soon as my hair is long enough again
we’ll be waiting 🤍
Can I start sista locs from mini twist? I braided my roots before twisting if that matters.
Yes you can
Your first interlock was 1 month after you began your starter locks? Or was right after you finished them ?
right after i finished them
