Let me say first of all I hate youtube like and sub beggars. As soon as I hear "Comment like subscribe" its an instant dislike and move on.... however, You ***** are a fabulous teacher and for doing this free you deserve ever like and sub you get. I also used your videos months ago before getting a mac to learn how to use the OS before I took the plunge. so again thank you! So I made an exception to the rule. Keep up the fab work and thank you for putting your time and effort into these videos. If I could make a suggestion on doing a video for PathFinder (the finder replacement) that would be amazing. best wishes! Chris

This is a cool app if you're not really the type to go in and tinker with setting and stuff like that.... I tinkers with my preference setting... Still looks like a cool app tho.... Automator can be a big confusing at first..

David, I just set up Hazel and did exactly what you did for Images in my Downloads folder (i.e., set up to go to IPhoto and delete); However, when I checked my Downloads folder, all the same images are still present. Can you help?
Hi David, I hate to bother you with this, but I purchased Hazel and for some reason there seems to be a problem after I down loaded it. Maybe I am doing something wrong? I just don't know. I paid, downloaded it and clicked on the download then it did not go into my SP. would you happen to have any idea's what I am doing wrong? Thanks again for helping me. Denise B.
hallow david , I have a problem facing with the trash, when i delete any file it require permission and deleted completely without going to the trash can. i cant recover the file if i needed the file later. and i cant export any file from photos it shows error. please help me thanks.
Hi David, I've been following you since like 2 years ago when I had my first mac. Could hazel be used in numbers? to mimic the function of macro in excel? Because I love numbers more than excel but there is a spreadsheet I have to make and needs macro :( I hope apple can have a function like this. Will really appreciate your reply :) More power!

I have a MacBook Pro running Mac OSX 10.6.8, went to noodlesoft.com, clicked on the "free 14 day trial" button, double clicked on the install pane, and got the message. The version of Hazel is 3.2.7. Might you know what I am doing wrong?
I think so, still looking for a straight forward answer to this though, for example i wanted to be able to export photos form lightroom to a folder that would automatically upload to apple photos and i was able to just make that in automator after a little tinkering
David, I've created a series of rules to rename JPG in a folder and when completed email me. I created the email in Applescripts. The issue is it email's me for every image in the folder. How can I control that to only email me 1x for the folder?

Update this to 2018, Hazel 4! I'm confused with some parts of Hazel but looks mandatory in every mac.

Excuse me David, I tried to do the Music part of the video, but when I "Import into iTunes" the tab of to playlist is not available.
Can it duplicate or save a file at different locations at same time?
Will it work to automate mouse clicks. e.g., pushing down on mouse click and it continues to click until you release it?

it needs more in depth options like all the iTunes actions in Automator
