When getting these from Robot Kingdom did you have to pay any import fees on top of the $80-$90 per figure??

The reason I like these Trainbots it's a challenge transforming them and once you get them the way you want them to look I leave them in that form for display.

I didnt enjoy transforming it, but it is amazing to finally get a childhood favorite combiner to get the collector treatment. Cant believe it took this long.
By the way, maybe you did notice this after all, but he does have an ab crunch. There’s a lock in his back to release it, this function was on other train bots as well, I believe Dark Knight for one. If you did cover this, and I missed it, my apologies.

@@Benscollectables Haha, you’re no dope man! I miss stuff like this too! But you’re reviews are great quality, it’s impossible to not miss something. I watched another reviewer and he missed it too and later had to edit his video to show it. Something else that I didn’t realize is that the lower ab is to be turned 180 degrees. I saw that in Bobby Skullface’s review. It’s more of an aesthetic thing, just found it interesting.
I totally agree with you. I love the head sculpt in this guy. In fact, these last two guys are my favorite in sculpt and colors. Usually blue is my favorite, but the color combos for these two really do it for me.

Hey Ben great review. Just fyi the robot head will sit straight and flush when bringing it forward when transforming into train mode since it’s on a double hinge. It is stiff. And it also has an ab crunch if you untab the black tab in the back right below the big robot hand.

My last two arrive tomorrow. I notice your chest piece is sitting at an angle. I had to carve out more space in the back of the chest piece for moonshine's wheels to slot in to. Fits and looks better.

This combineris really amazing, older Zeta combiner nailed combine mode but individual robots ranged from decent to bad, this set is totally gorgeous in combine, bots and even train mode.... and it pissed me off cause I'm skipping this combiner because i care nothing about this character, lol
yeah I only jumped on because I loved the old headmaster Takara show
And I also almost skipped this thinking I'm gonna aim for MPG later on...Luckily I changed my mind early on, the combined mode really fits my description of what I want a modern reimagining of Raiden look like...
So, now one of my modern-day reimagined Japanese G1 TF is ticked off, looking forward for Galaxy Shuttle and LandCross from Victory...HasTak or 3P, just bring it!!!

Man I regret not using my stimulus check to buy this group as my first 3rd party toy. I love raiden more them any other transformer short of rail racer and astrotrain and have since I found about he team as a kid but as a budget collector it's gonna take me a while to get the money again and no place has them restocked for a fair price without shipping killing me.if I ever do get a raiden of any kind it will be my holy grail of my collection. Hasbro/takara please make a standard retail release of raiden that isn't masterpiece for th general public please but I doubt they will :'(
My last Bot arrived yesterday and I can't wait to get this guy assembled... That'll be my project after work tomorrow. I will say I'm a little disappointed in that void at the shoulder connection. I'm also disappointed in the bicep region. The shoulder void looks unfinished and the biceps are just too thin and don't fit the proportions. Who knows if enough us have the same complaints someone might come out with an add-on kit. For me, if they fixed those 2 issues this would be an easy 9 out of 10. As-is, it's good, just not quite as good as the TW Devy, or the Zeta Bruticus and Superion.
Really?! While I love Zeta's Superion & Bruticus, to me it this feels like a rather massive step up from those in just about every way imaginable. MUCH better build quality, better QC, better articulation in the separate bots and the combined mode, more stable in combined form (and my copy has zero tilt in combined mode, unlike bens), better tolerances all over the place, better proportions for the separate bots, and all of this without having to parts form half a body + legs onto it, and it ends up feeling like MUCH more of a premium quality product overall.
I also own all of these now, and Zeta's Superion was by far my favorite MP-scale combiner before I got this one. But I really feel they've outdone themselves with the trainbots: they are considerably better in combined mode, and in a whole 'nother league as separate bots. In fact I struggle to find even one area where their Trainbots aren't better than their Combaticon and Aerialbot counterparts apart from maybe the relative simplicity of the engineering of the Aerialbots and Conbaticons (although it's kind of subjective whether that is a good or a bad thing - after all you have to essentially click those onto pre-made body pieces whereas this has the full combiner contained in the bots themselves). This is the first MP combiner where I haven't felt like corners were cut in either the separated bots or the combined mode, and both truly feel like an MP-quality product.

Just a note. The transformation you did on the upper part of the arm (shoulder) is incorrect. The knees need to be bent before turning the housing in which allows a small black tab (one on each side) to lock the arm into place. Might want to edit your video to show that. Otherwise decent vid.

What you mean with clusterfuck? The Takara Tomy one looks amazing, even better than this one revarding general silhouette. And even if this one is generally better the TakTom one looks great.

Glad I didn't go in on this it's a mess.. Proportions are awful (even if it's supposed to look that way) front heay and and an absolute ton of tabs and flaps that don't stay tabbed in.
