  • Learn how to give your cat confidence with the AeroKat* Chamber and asthma inhaler with step by step guidance from a Certified Clinical Animal Behaviorist.
Feline or cat inhalers require the use of a mask and chamber to deliver the medication. Your cat too can learn to use the aerosol chamber mask to get away from the side effects of systemic medications.
In this video you will learn how to build on the initial comfort established in step 1 by using simple techniques and items found around the house to steadily reduce fear and increase your cat's confidence around the chamber.

Question 1 - recognizing that each cat is individual, for a resistant cat, typically how long do you work at building confidence? Question 2 - in the meantime are they going without their medication or should you still try and administer while continuing to help them get comfortable? Thanks!

I decided to go the hard way, there is no time, nor am I such magician to do trainings like this, so I just force it…

@@Ceki4 Same! Not as much of a struggle as I anticipated - as long as I have someone to help me.

I'm worried about the scent training with my cat. She's sixteen and typically rejects any scents she thinks is sketchy. I have to use specifically odorless/tasteless meds and supplements in her food because if she smells something out of the ordinary, she walks away and refuses to eat it.
She accepted the hissing noise very quickly, as she's a fairly calm cat that's not easily upset with random sounds, and she's comfortably eating treats out of the wide base already. Not too interested in the next step (the giant flower pot) though, would it help to cut larger holes in it even though it's not one of the smaller objects?
It's a bit hard to juggle holding treats, holding the training object, and holding a clicker all at the same time. Can the training still work if I just use an affirmation word instead of the clicker?

I know you commented this at least a year ago, but they showed in a different video that you could use an affirmation word or just a click with your mouth, as long as it was consistent.
