I agree with the close-up comments, but it was also very kind of you to let us into your personal and up close world. Often when I watch minimalist videos, as a mother I do like a representation of how much is kept and how. Oh, and I strongly relate to baskets. I have a big heart for them. Thank you for a beautifully intentional view💗
Thanks Ruthie! That’s very kind of you to say. I’m sure there’ll be another house tour in the future too, so I’ll be able to integrate the feedback and make improvements.
Wow how often do you declutter? I admire how little you have in your home, have you always lived this lifestyle? I admire what you have done and how you manage even with children. we are empty nesters and my crafts take over a whole room and the next room too!
This was a lovely, inspiring and peaceful video. I just found your channel through the 10 item wardrobe video. I love Jennifer L Scott too and Dawn at the minimal mom and Joshua Becker also. So fun to find a channel that resonates and inspires!
Thank you so much! I’m loving making the videos and getting connected with folks who are excited about these topics. And it sounds like your RUclips feed is very similar to mine!
Thank you! I've definitely felt like I got off easy having come across it sooner. I'm impressed you took it on with teens. I think it would take a lot of conviction to introduce a new lifestyle to older children.
This video showed all items up close. Magnified 🤷 It would be nice to see more visually from afar to see how you manage all your close-up items together as a whole as one
This is the first video I’ve watched of yours, and I find it incredibly peaceful. Very relaxing. The music is so lovely, and your home appears just gorgeous. ✨
You have more than we do in some things, and some we have more than you. I love your washer and dryer, we don't have them. Just a hand crank washer and a spinner and we line dry. One towel for each of us and they get washed every day. But it all works for us! I love dishes so we have many. And lots of clothes too. Everyone is different and that makes the world go round. ❤
I'm so fascinated by a crank washer! It's a good reminder that there are so many ways to live. We can forget and start to assume things like washers/dryers are essentials.
Maybe that’s what she felt comfortable with and that’s ok! For a big family it was still fairly minimal! Obvs I would’ve liked to see more space but again it’s no biggy not everyone wants to share their private space with the world and let them judge it.
Your home is wonderful. You have arrived and I'm sure will work to stay there! Josh Becker would frown at your toaster over on the counter, though. LoL I have mine on a cart in the corner of the kitchen on display as well. I have teased him about this on his channel, how I'm on board with all he says....except the toaster over part.. :-)
This video is beautifully created! I watched it last year when you posted it, but I am back again to look for the closet systems you use for yourself and your kids. I need help with a kids closet predicament. We don’t have any extra storage space in our house besides the closets (no basement or attic for storage). I know we need to declutter our toys, but there are items that I plan to use for our next baby coming late 2025 that are very big and bulky taking up lots of space in my daughters closet. (High chair, toddler hiking pack, our suitcases, etc). I want to be able to store all of her toys and clothing that is being saved along with other baby items in her closet, but I feel like I cannot figure out a convenient system where everything is easy to get to. Any suggestions from anyone? If I were to guess, I think her closet is about 4.5 feet wide and 5 feet deep (small walk in).
We've used the IKEA Boaxel system because it's modular and very easy to install. Relatively good price too. I'm not sure if it would meet all your specifications, but we've really loved ours!
@ Thank you so much! I am excited to look into that system! I really liked how you showed adjusting it for different ages/stages for your kids in another video!
Of course! It's the Timber Rain Cloud Gray, left-sectional from Article. Though you can get it in a few arrangements (www.article.com/product/15399/timber-rain-cloud-gray-left-sectional). Hope that helps!
I love this! I was just thinking the other day how my decorating style leans a little eclectic but that doesn’t mean I have to cover my walls and tables with things in order for it to give the homey artsy feel I want to go for. I personally want every piece to actually mean something, not just be decorative, without overdoing it. Unfortunately I have a husband who finds emotional sentiment in everything we’ve touched so he doesn’t allow me to slim down on our things the way I’d want to lol
Thanks @cynthiacrumlish4683! It's four different artists. I just created a Spotify playlist with each song and added the link to that playlist to the video description. Please feel free to reply back here if you run into any issues accessing it :).
Would love to know what is the closet system for the pull out drawers below the closet rod? Thank you.- Just saw on your other video it’s Ikea boaxel system.
Thank you! And thanks for watching! I live in a little town in southern Ohio. I keep referring to my home as suburban, but I guess it’s more in the country but also in a subdivision. It’s a funny mix of country and community!
I was expecting a minimalist home tour but all I can see is a home stuff tour. Rather than a sweep of the interior I’m just getting close ups of things - kind of defeats the object. This video could have been done in a smooth 3 minutes. From what I could see looks like a well kept home.
Great idea! 🥰 I know many people aspiring to minimalism desire to see the stuff, but I’ve gotten enlightening feedback from folks like yourself about the value of seeing the full interior and I’ll be sure to incorporate that next time. Thank you for watching and for taking the time to share your perspective!
Enjoying your videos. I’ve seems others who don’t fold their clothes and visually I find it cluttered. I can’t help but think how expensive clothes are and how disheveled and messy they look when worn wrinkly. So few items would be quick to fold and visually calming. But you do you. Keep up the good work.

I love this, I thought becoming a mom I'd have to say goodbye to my minimalist lifestyle. This is proof we can carry on with some tweaks
I love it! You have the items you need! That is how it should be in every home! I love your home! Simple but stylish!
Thank you so much!
This video was so beautiful and visually appealing to watch… Well, filmed! I think I’ll watch it again!
Thank you, Sandi! That's so kind of you to say. :)

What a lovely home you have created. So wish I'd known about minimalism when my kids were young. They were teens by the time I started down the path.
Thank you! I've definitely felt like I got off easy having come across it sooner. I'm impressed you took it on with teens. I think it would take a lot of conviction to introduce a new lifestyle to older children.

Noted! I definitely took an unconventional approach this time, but I’m thinking about how to integrate this type of feedback for next time.
I love how you showed your things in action... being used. This will be a good video for you to look back on for memories too.
I totally agree! :)
@@papertownhomeyou are definitely not a minimalist; clean and organized, yes. But definitely not minimal.
Can’t live without my spin mop and robot vacuum! ❤
Love this video. Always inspiring to see how others keep their things. 😊
Thanks so much! 😊 And, thanks for watching!

Where did you find a crank washer?
I'm so fascinated by a crank washer! It's a good reminder that there are so many ways to live. We can forget and start to assume things like washers/dryers are essentials.
Frustrating that there wasn't any shots of whole spaces. Everything was super zoomed in and the big picture was completely missing.
That's good feedback though! I'm definitely still learning how to make videos, so I'll keep that in mind for the next time ;).
I agree. It was more of a “things” tour than a home tour
Agreed. I was thinking “how does all this stuff fit in this tiny kitchen?” 😅 would’ve loved to see what it looked like in actuality.
I also thought it seemed like a lot of stuff for a minimalist home and realize now that the wider view might have made me see the simplicity better.
Maybe that’s what she felt comfortable with and that’s ok! For a big family it was still fairly minimal! Obvs I would’ve liked to see more space but again it’s no biggy not everyone wants to share their private space with the world and let them judge it.
Hello. You have such a lovely home. I really love your kitchen and rocking chairs. What brand/type of mop do you use? Thanks in advance.
Lovely home! Well done!
Thank you! Cheers!
I lovvved how you did this video ❤
Thank you! :)

Completely agree! I don't think mine would even fit in any of our cabinets.

No leftovers in my house so no storage containers which seem to gobble up space. What a relief!
Can I have a link to the couch? It’s perfect!!
Of course! It's the Timber Rain Cloud Gray, left-sectional from Article. Though you can get it in a few arrangements (www.article.com/product/15399/timber-rain-cloud-gray-left-sectional). Hope that helps!

I feel you! My husband thinks we minimalists are nutty, lol. But we muddle through.
Such lovely music! Whose is it?

Yep! That's the system we used. It's been great!
New subbie here and I am so in love with your content ❤
Thank you! Welcome!!
It’s nice to see your minimal home ♥️ I am still in the process & just subscribed
Congrats! It's so worth it, and in many ways I'm still in process too!
Where do you live? It looks so beautiful!!!! Glad I found your channel😀

Are you a fellow Ohioan? (I saw the Ohio book at the beginning). I'm in the northeast area :)
Me too!
Columbus ✌🏼🌱
Cleveland suburb, Independence:)
I'm close to Akron!@@OrianaMalina
Yay!! I love to see so many fellow Ohioans. I'm not originally from here, but it's home!
Hi! What brand diapers are those?
Sam’s Club! Only the best 😂

🤍🤍🤍
The video is very confusing, that's definitely not a home tour, just zoomed objects
