There is nothing being produced today that even slightly simulates or compares to the "Kaempfert Sound"! I appreciate all of you that have his music and taped performances and have uploaded so the rest of us can enjoy them again. It was great growing up in the sixties and listening to Bert's captivating music. I lost all of my Kaempfert music in my divorce 25 years ago. So "thank you" again for sharing with us.
I am now almost 72 and I am watching and listening to this. In my mind I am now at home with my father and mother and I hear this music. At the same time I see the contents of my father's record case. This was a wonderful time. Greetings, Herman. Nieuwegein (NL).

A Swingin' Safari, That Happy Feeling and Afrikaan Beat belong to "A Swingin' Safari" LP (1962); Red Roses For A blue Lady belong to "Blue Midnight" LP (1964), Bye Bye Blues and Strangers In The Night was the main tunes of its respective LPs (Both of 1966); and Sweet Caroline belong to "Free And Easy" LP (1970).
Kaempfert was the first person to ever to make a reel to reel tape sound recording of a new group called the Beatles whilst they were in Germany treading the boards.
It is indeed him. Manfred Moch rejoined Kaempfert in the mid 1970s but only in the trumpet section, not as soloist. Rather sad to see someone else playing the solos he'd made his own in the 60s.
